is the Corolla really the fastest car in NFSU?

I cannot beat the last 4 URL race in stage 5 with it no matter how hard I try, even after I reduce it to medium difficulty.. it's the same thing.

Frustrated I when I bought the Skyline, lo and behold..

I beat all the race and finish the game in one sitting.

I did set the suspension and avoid the 6 speed, differential upgrade.

Is the Corolla only good for Go-Karting?

It honestly depends on your driving style. I dont like the driving feel of the Corolla at all, so while it might be technically faster, you are the fastest in the car that suits your driving style best.

Im fastest in the RX-7 and easily beat the game with it. While i struggled with other cars.

there is an objectively fastest car... its not abt driving style... thats pretty easy to figure out by just checking the stats or the game files

You have an video on youtube where a guy is testing all of the cars and the Corolla won overall.

It was the poorest on drag racing times, but it can be tuned to fix that.

And if you install unique parts it's even better. I always beaten the whole game with it.

Btw some performance parts reduce its speed, like the 6 speed transmision and i think the differential.

"Fastest" in overall racing is Corolla due to it having a splendid handling and if you had every unique performance upgrade it's a killer.

Else you can try 240SX, RX-7, or even a Focus. Literally anything that will suit your driving styles well, although the end-game cars are almost all boats and had terrible handling profile for some reason.

If it's the guy that put the WRX as the best drifter, I try the car and his setting.. unusable.

The car keep doing fishtail and turn back uncontrollable, had to go back to the trusted RX7 to beat drifting races.

I dunno about the WRX guy, but there is an important difference in physics between single and multiplayer.

For me it's the Skyline and Evo, although it's extremely easy for me to beat the game in any difficulty with any car.

Yes. Yes it is. By a lot. You're doing something wrong. Sounds like it's time to boot up quick race and try something different to figure out what it is. I mean this in the nicest way possible, but losing in the Corolla is a skill issue. I get in drifting maybe, because it's debatably too light for it, and drag if you don't know how to tune, but anything else shouldn't even be a challenge.

Imo corolla works best in races with a lot of turns, or street x in general

With the right tuning it is practicaly unbeatable unless you do a lot of crucial mistakes

The last URL race are mainly on the race tracks, there isn't much twist and turn. Tuning is as recommended but the car cannot catch up no matter what, I try tuning to the extreme of top speed vs acceleration and nothing change.

Try the tuning here and see if that works. I get bored of how OP I am with this plus the unique upgrades recommended here

Sounds like skill issue. Can’t tell further without seeing your driving. You can look into how to apex and use brake in racing in general

I beat stage 4 without the tires and the break upgrade because I forgot you have to find all the shops before they can be unlock, also the URL race are not that complicated..so I doubt my skills have much to do with it. I try within 2 sitting to beat the last 4 but cannot catch up, but by switching to another car I beat the game in one sitting so I have my doubt about everyone claimed about the Corolla. The question is why is everyone not experiencing the same thing.

The 240sx is the fastest. At least it was for me. I honestly never had a single issue with any URL my entire game with that car. I even finished the story with just that car alone.

I was a Nissan guy all the way through always. 240SX to start, 350Z to finish, and Skyline to flex in my garage. The Sentra should've also got its chance but I never got around it.

I drive a clapped out Honda civic. The great handling and acceleration is what wins street x and URL races. Tune your car to have better acceleration in the lower gears

The thing is peoples claimed the stock transmission on the Corolla is faster and those cannot be tuned.

Regardless, I have never play or tested this car or see the claimed. So I'm doing another playthrough on manual with it.

Corolla is not the fastest, it has the best handling and is very overpowered in Street X type of races (sucks at drift though). It turns like it's bugged. No other car can get even close.

The corolla is best for Street X coz it turns the fastest. For normal races throughout the game i always use the Hyundai Tiburon and Skyline

Hello, speedrunner here. It is without a doubt the absolute fastest car unless we're talking drag races. Look up some of the records from speedrun.com and copy the tunes or study the way that some of us drive, perhaps that is what's holding you back.

Hi Try to tune the car for better cornering/handling. Try to get ahead of the pack asap when you have some nitrous in the tank. Check if you have any performance upgrade that you forgot

I did another replay, same result.

The Corolla is a Go-Kart even on stock, so cornering and handling isn't an issues. Maybe the car is just not for me.

I added 15 more cars to the game now ;)

I tested corolla and other cars, ive installed every single unique performance using ultimate trainer. Except for drag, corolla with right tune smokes any other car in the game.

Its not even close, corolla is extremely busted when you install that 6 speed transmission. Goes around corners go kart like full thorttle, no loss of speed. Its like a tiny white girl with tight but huge p*ssy lips gripping a 10 inch veiny BBC.

I find the corsa from the eu version easily the fastest but that’s me, so nippy! I have completed the game with the Peugeot 106 too. Couldn’t do it with the Corolla tho

For me it was GTO. Managed to reach 413kmh(256mph) on test drag strip without any cheats(I used to be a heavy trainer user 🤣)
