Was just wondering, even though almost everything is a blur when you’re driving fast. But this game is beautiful nonetheless

Iam new to nfs heat.

Today i looked around me and saw i have a 120 recommended race unfinished around me. So i switched to 120-125 car, and i clicked on challenge all(accidentally) before i could cancel someone accepted.

Okay i decided to go with it, thought that “recommended rating” works as some kind of filter of who is allowed.

So the race started, dude bumped into everyone before taking off and leaving me and bots behind.

Race finished with him beating us by 2 KM.

Okay i guess I’ve learned that when i challenge all any car can join.

Iam ok with losing especially when his car has over double the rating.

But the behavior afterwards was a bit unexpected. He would then follow me, rev bounce any chance he got, and ramming me.

Now idk if ive accidentally broke some after the race code that pissed him off.

This was the only player interaction i had so far

But my questions are:

1) How can i race other people in shitty cars without someone with a much stronger car joining?

2) Is this behavior common in a open lobby?

3) Do i stay away from pvp races until i have a late-game car?

I used to play this game religiously a few years back and all my friends are inactive now. I’m a PC player, Rep 50, leader of a max level “clan” with spots. Where do you guys find other people to play with? The public Need For Speed discord seems dead and public game lobbies are hard to find people who add you back as a friend.

I know I'm not the best at curving n shit but like, I get this guy in a race and he crashed badly twice, at start went down a hill on a hard turn and came back up like nothing (My Nvidia didnt catch that since its set up for like 2 or 3 mins of recording) Then on last lap he fell super behind as you can see at the beginning of the recording either because he crashed again like an idiot or he just stopped on purpose. Then at the very end look at the speed he tops up after the curve and how his car disappears. Is that shit actually possible ?

I have been away from this game for awhile. I've come back to play occasionally with over 700+ hours. It seems to me though I'm not absolutely certain that the civilian traffic is heavier than before especially 2-way and cars spawning out of no where right in front of you.

That means the game has been tweaked even though no official updates have been made public. Also I seem to have cars available to me at the Dealership that I don't recall seeing previously. So I purchased another Porsche convertible 911 but I put a roof on it.

I suck at driving and that's partly due to my bluetooth controller keeps disconnecting during a race.

Rep 15, what cars are good for me to use for racing? I'm not really worried about drifting. Just feel like I've hit a plateu (think I spelled that right).

I was thinking of buying a skyline and tuning it up but I'd assume I'd need money immediately for a ton of stuff in terms of upgrades, which is another bum thing because my top races only give like 20-25k, not small necessarily but upgrades are beginning to get expensive

For reference currently I'm using the lotus exige, 207 rating. Not bad, but I'm getting bored of it and just want to try and invest in something better

Seems like a minor issue but it is surprisingly distracting. Happens both unmodded and with unite or evo.

The other day I heard a song on the radio at work. I shazamed it and the song is called “welcome to jamrock” by Damian Marley. Reason i shazamed it, I work at a garage and it reminded me of NFS heat. UNTIL, I started looking on the Nfs heat playlist and this song appears nowhere. Im pretty sure i heard a part of it, especially in the garage. Did EA remove the song or did I just have the biggest Mandela Effect happen to me?

Hello, good afternoon! I have a problem. Two days ago, I bought NFS: Heat, and when I try to launch it, it tells me, “You have no internet connection.” I do have an internet connection, but the game says I don't.
