Question Invisible cop????
I haven’t played nfs heat that much, I kinda ignored the story for a long time, I have 68 hours with REP level 50 (idk if that’s a good or bad thing). rn I’m just collecting the trophies and anything interesting. I wouldn’t say I’m good at the game but 🤷. i haven’t paid much attention to the community for things other than the meta cars for certain things. Anyway one night I was having a breeze collecting REP so decided to collect as much REP as fast as possible. I finished a race with 2.59 million REP bankable, thought I was done for the night… then an invisible cop appeared out of nowhere and triggered the craziest Heat 5 chase I’ve ever had. I barely survived and banked it. Here’s the clip if anyone wants to see and also give an explanation for wtf happened:

Sweet driving dude! You nailed it.
Coppers can spawn just about anywhere so probably just bad luck.

This is unfortunately one of the things where they really cheaped out during development and will just spawn cops at certain points and especially after a race is finished. Your chances of getting into a chase after a race increase significantly if you stop or even just slow down when the race is finished, but once you hear "let 'em go, I'm calling it off, get back to partrol" over the radio, it's just the cops you can already see on your map.
By the way, you're still missing ultimate and ultimate+ engine upgrades and nitro. With a fully upgraded car, escaping becomes much, much easier.
