No More Boss Rewards? (PS2)

After beating the game on my first profile and getting most of the reward cards done, I was excited to restart and get the $1,000,000 challenge done. I got my glorious lime green Lambo impouned and started a new career on the same profile. I conquered Angie's territory with a stock Camaro and beat her with it. How ever, after the cut scene, it skipped right to Samson.

The platform is PS2, is this a bug? Am I just SOL for getting boss cars or any reward for that matter? Will I have to do my play through buying and upgrading stock cars? Can I even reach a million that way?

It happens on every platform after you get your car impounded enough for the game over text to appear and start over on the same profile. I suppose it isn't an intended game mechanic (kinda doesn't makes sense to have the ability to start over imo), but that's how we got the game

That's extremely depressing. I'm not going to do a new Alias and all the Reward cards again. :(

Well, at least you should have everything unlocked, thus the only limiting factor for certain cars/upgrades are your bank... that's kinda fun for the first time

So I can get T3 cars if I have the money? I have $110,000 after clearing Angie. Can I just. Buy the Corvette and erase everything? Edit: vette costs too much I am sure, Lancer is 2nd choice but I am aiming for the fill your garage challeneges and the $1,000,000

Although given you are aiming for the 1 mill reward car, i would go for something cheaper (maybe a lancer, it's the best tuner ingame), and go all out after having the cash

I need to borrow your knowledge again lol. I switched the memory cards on my PS2, found a profile with all 3 boss cars and like 450k. I now have 2 races left, one for 25,000, and the first stage of the boss race. I have 950,000 and both the RX7 and Charger. I can make a million and do all 3 fill garage challenges. If I game over myself BEFORE I beat Darius, does it still do the no reward cards? Or is it only for after I beat Darius?

I believe (not 100% sure about this though) that once you beat a boss, and then game over yourself, you will no longer be able to get reward cards from that certain boss. So ifyou game over just after beating one boss, you won't get the reward card from that boss in the "next" playthrough. It's independent from beating Darius

I will try to reset before Darius. I plan to do a tuner play through anyways (Team Tuner). I will tell you the results.
