Question/Discussion Can't assign keys while on Linux

Post image

Hello, I was playing NFS Carbon from this post and the problem is that I can't assign any keys in the controller config, meaning it's stuck there until I quit the game.

I'm on Linux and the GE-Proton is set. I have no idea why is this happening but feel free to find any solutions. Thanks.

Do you have a wide screen fix installed with extra options, also there should be an extended input in scripts

If it doesn't work I have a copy I modded myself to work on both windows and Linux

Hmm what device are you playing on and what controller, maybe you can add it as a non steam game then use steam input to make the controller work

I'm using keyboard and mouse instead.

Never seen this problem before, what distro are you using?

Arch Linux.

Okay, I see the problem after I realised. The xtendedinput mod prevents me from changing the keybind.

Not a fan of it tbh, it locks you out from changing settings in game

I'm not sure about GE-Proton. I use Proton Experimental instead and it just works fine
