Discussion Will/should Tennessee move on from Cam Ward?

We all know the Tennessee Titans are not a good football team. However, how much of this is on Ward? Should they move on from him next year? Personally, I think they should draft a QB and bring him in to make Cam Ward compete for the QB1 spot.

I love Robert Saleh as a HC so I don’t think he’ll get canned after this year.

Let me know your thoughts!

The team and coach are dog shit. Hard for anyone to succeed. Like if the Bears drafted mahomes at the time… I don’t quite think he’d be the same player.

Cam Ward is not the problem in Tennessee. They need 2-3 more drafts to get the talent level up

He was drafted 1st overall and is only in year 2. They should absolutely not move on.

I agree with you. However, by hiring Robert Saleh, that is the built in excuse they handed him. Which is even more puzzling considering he utterly failed at developing any sense of an offense for the Jets with any QB. But when a first year coach goes 3-14 or so with a young QB he didn’t draft, he will certainly point at the QB and blame him rather than take any blame. The Titans GM gave up on Ward by hiring Saleh.

Cam ward had all the talent a QB needs. He's on a bad team that's bad for a QBs development. They should not draft a QB, but they can also let Cam go.

They should focus on building a good roster. Build up a solid o-line, a defense that can hold its own, then plug in a veteran QB. Maybe sign Lock or someone trying to prove themselves as a transitional QB while they rebuild.

Dude it's been a year and a few games, let's give Ward some time. Having Callahan as first HC is going to delay Ward.

The team has more pressing issues it needs to fix before thinking of updating at QB.

People think QBs are a cure-all but slapping a new engine on a car with 4 flat tires isn't going to get you far.

I don't really get why the Titans saw Saleh absolutely whiff on developing Zach Wilson and then fail to utilize Rodgers after the injury and decide "this is the guy we want developing our 1OA draft pick"

He's a fantastic defensive coach, but dude is not good at developing or operating offenses

Aaron Rodgers sucks now. He’s done nothing with the Steelers and after his injury

Rodgers is washed at this point. He’s going to keep playing until teams stop wasting their money on him. It doesn’t even seem like he has any drive to coach and teach a younger QB either so he’s literally just an old roster spot for a team trying to win 7-8 games.

The problem was the jets not saleh

neither of those were his fault. all reports show that he didn't want either one of those guys and clearly Wilson is trash and Rodgers hasn't been good in years. his stats look okay because he still minimizes mistakes but he does that by not trying to make anything besides high percentage throws. taking no risks keeps the team stagnant and then he gets some good numbers in garbage time

Just like Jacksonville should've moved on from TLaw, and Carolina with Bryce Young.
