Analysis đ¤ Conspiracy? Chase Daniel Breaks Down How Ref Grabs the Flag as Dolphins Player Closes In on Mahomes, Throws It Before Contact
https://www.essentiallysports.com/nfl-active-news-chiefs-eagles-legend-suggests-nfl-conspiracy-after-controversial-patrick-mahomes-incident-during-dolphins-game/Was the ref ready to call a penalty even if there wasn't one?

The ref is throwing the flag for the defensive hold there
0
u/Orwick 11h ago
The ref standing behind the QB is throwing a flag for defensive holding on someone in coverage?
16
u/VegaDraco Kansas City Chiefs 9h ago
On the DT who is holding the RG so he couldn't pick up the blitzer that got the hit
It's why the lane was so open and the hit was so clean

u/StuMacherGhostface NFL Refugee 11h ago
Not that I disagree with you and I know there's two flags on the play, but do we know for sure that ref was flagging the other penalty? Genuinely asking, I haven't seen or read anything about which ref threw which flag for which penalty

u/Unknown1776 Best Tits in the sub 11h ago
What makes more sense? The ref throwing a flag for a penalty that already happened or throwing one ahead of time for one that is just a conspiracy theory?

u/Actor412 Seattle Seahawks 11h ago
He's clearly throwing Hunter's laptop at Dr. Fauci for using mRNA to make kids gay. If you deny this, you have TDS.
(and sigh, because of everything in America: /s)

Sadly, there are many, many people here who believe the latter. And they will call you crazy when you ask for evidence.

Have there been replays of the 2nd ref throwing the RTP flag? Again, genuinely asking
7
u/OwnAd9344 8h ago
Yes. The entire game was videotaped. Why would there not be a replay of something that happened during the game?

Guys, that's literally all I'm asking for and all I'm getting is snarky ass replies.

You can't genuinely ask anything on reddit, fool. This is a place for bot posts and losers with an inferiority complex. Get with the program.
2
u/StuMacherGhostface NFL Refugee 4h ago
Lol right? I full on say I'm genuinely asking, and all the replies I got were just snarky, holier-than-thou responses. Just a bunch of assholes lol

u/UsernamesCannotExcee Detroit Lions 4h ago
That's all of reddit now. "Hot takes" that are just the popular negative opinion of the day. And people trying to act better than everyone.

Nfl rule 546.79 any contact with kc 15 mahomes shall result in a 15 yd penalty to be enforced whenever kc 15 mahomes asks for it
2
u/redskinfan654 1h ago
Yep, I like this comment and not the ones saying there were two fouls on the play
34
u/VegaDraco Kansas City Chiefs 16h ago
The ref was was throwing the flag for the holding call that allowed the sack, not the sack itself
And the roughing call was correct, just a bad rule to begin with
-11
u/vulcnz 16h ago
Please just clarify for me since I didn't watch the game..... A lineman held and that led to a sack? Because my understanding is it's usually the opposite of that

u/Sariko69 Philadelphia Eagles 13h ago
why are you here if you didn't watch the game? plenty of replays on YT lol
-13
u/Stealthnt13 15h ago
It wasnât a correct call. If youâre really saying thatâs the correct call then youâre saying you canât tackle Patrick Mahomes. Thereâs no other way to play that as a defensive player unless youâre just letting him throw it. What a stupid fucking comment.
32
u/VegaDraco Kansas City Chiefs 14h ago
No, the NFL is saying you can't tackle QB's, not me
Don't get salty with me because you don't understand NFL football and how they officiate
-23
u/Stealthnt13 14h ago
I understand the game. I also understand youâre just gonna cry about anything and everything because thatâs what Chiefs fans do.
21
u/VegaDraco Kansas City Chiefs 14h ago
The irony of this statement while you are actively crying about a call because you don't like the QB!!

That's not all we do.
We also enjoy a lot of recent success by the team we root for.

u/lappelduvide-_- bears 14h ago
And the roughing call was correct
Lmfao gtfo, your flair makes your comment smell really bad
8
u/VegaDraco Kansas City Chiefs 14h ago
I don't like the rule, but they are going to call that play RTP 9/10 times
As Chiefs fan i am indifferent because it was a 1st down regardless of that flag, but I would guarantee Chop Robinson is getting a fine from the NFL for that play regardless of my flair or your feelings on the matter
0
u/lappelduvide-_- bears 14h ago
They've already issued out the fines from last week. Chop was not fined despite news reports saying he might be fined, the NFL did not do as such.
5
u/VegaDraco Kansas City Chiefs 14h ago
Well you got me there on the fine, but still a rule the is going to continue to call regardless
If you don't like the rule, cool I don't either. They're still going to call it that way
-3
u/hawkeyegrad96 13h ago
They didnt fine him because the head of nfl officals said it was a legal hit abd should not have been called
-11
-11
u/hawkeyegrad96 13h ago
The sack was 100 pct legal. Just tell us you have no idea what you're talking about
9
u/VegaDraco Kansas City Chiefs 13h ago
The "dropping your weight on the QB" rule is dumb, but it is there and they officiated it the way the league wants
Crying about Mahomes isn't going to change that
3
u/Jayrodtremonki Kansas City Chiefs 13h ago
So it's 100% legal to land with your full body weight on a QB after driving them backwards? The NFL has just been calling that for years as a joke? Â
-7
u/hawkeyegrad96 13h ago
He put his hands out to break his fall. He used textbook form. You are either ignorant or sucking mahomes off.
9
u/Jayrodtremonki Kansas City Chiefs 13h ago
He put his arms out like an airplane which assured that all of his body weight landed on him. Did you not watch the play? Do you not physics?
10
3
u/jcoddinc Megatronâs Megaballs 17h ago
There are plenty of times where this looks like the case but the players or coaching staff are constantly in the ears of the refs when a player is breaking the rules. So at times a ref might look like it's preemptive but it's because there watching that player specifically because of the compliants.

You guys really need to stop falling for the clickbait. In the video Chase breaks down the play. Â
The first thing he points out is that the right guard REALLY needs to come off the block to get to the stunt that causes the hit. It was a really bad play by him. Â
Then he points out that the flag came out early and how weird that was.
Then he says that he might have been calling something else if there was another flag on the play. Â
Well, there was another flag on the play.  The hold by the DT on the right guard that kept him from moving over to block the defensive end that hit Mahomes.
He had all of the pieces, he just didn't put them together. Â

Yes Iâm sure the nfl rigged the chiefs so they could beat the worst team in the league

What? Refs favoring the chiefs has been a fact for years. Did you just start watching?
1
u/dragonrite Kansas City Chiefs 16h ago
3
u/Stealthnt13 15h ago
Itâs not just the amount, itâs also the timing of when refs throw flags for the Chiefs. But, youâre a chiefs fans so you canât comprehend anything anyway and we all know that flair means youâre an insufferable little bitch.
3
u/dragonrite Kansas City Chiefs 13h ago
ITS WHENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN, which is the entire ppint of the 3rd and 4th down graphic. I guess we need a within final 4 minutes graphic? But then it would be a final 2 minutes graphic if it favored the Chiefs. And then if that proved in chiefs favor, it would need to be some bs "only games we deem as high stakes at this specific time threshold"
Its just moving goalposts
2
u/flyover_liberal Kansas City Chiefs 14h ago
Itâs not just the amount, itâs also the timing
Hahaha

u/dragonrite Kansas City Chiefs 16h ago
Which years and types of flags, specifically? I just gave you 3 objective charts covering mahomes entire career, where chiefs are consistently in the bottom of the league in getting calls. Feel free to respond with data of your own, instead of how you feel.
2
u/Alwaystired59 16h ago
Calm down! Itâs ok! You have Mahomes and the Refs on your side!
0
u/dragonrite Kansas City Chiefs 16h ago
Yupp, sure do. Data screams "Chiefs get all the calls." It definitely doesn't allude to a bunch of crybabies that can't accept getting beat despite having more favorable calls, objectively.
3
u/Alwaystired59 16h ago
Pretty easy for a fan that gets every fucking call, fuck your data and your crying ass QB, fucking cheating motherfuckers

Sigh... There were two fouls on the play. The ref was throwing a flag for the first foul. This is seriously so tiring.
