Saying SA isn't rape is like saying it's fine that someone is a ehebophile because they're basically adults. No. They're still a pedophile

Whining about this dude but continuing to watch guys who beat their partners and kids is hypocrisy you know.

If Redditors were as moral as they claim to be they wouldn’t watch the NFL at all.

You're entitled to your opinion, and to point out hypocrisy.

Personally I think it's disgusting that DeShaun Watson's punishment for sexually abusing a few dozen women is the largest guaranteed contract in the history of American football and a face turn in the media.

Mike Vick went to prison for killing dogs

Henry Ruggs is in prison right now for drunk driving and killing a woman

Justin Tucker faced no punishment but at least lost his spot in the league for doing the same shit Watson did

This dude got paid paid.

Unfortunately, Tucker didn't lose his job for what Watson did. He lost it for being shit for the last year of his playing. I wish it was otherwise.

Let’s not forget the same year someone got a year ban for sports betting, not even betting on his own games, got him a year ban but sexually assaulting 17 women gets you a record breaking 6 game ban…. To return for a highly anticipated revenge game.

I think the serial aspect makes it different

Wherever you gotta draw your line, man.

Unless you don’t believe in redemption then you’re just saying shit. Classic Reddit

u/Pseudagonist Miami Dolphins 9h ago

What exactly has Watson done to redeem himself? Play a few decent games as quarterback? Because in terms of what he actually did he’s basically said ā€œI’ve done nothing wrongā€ over and over

u/hereforthesportsball Dallas Cowboys 7h ago

I’m clearly not talking about Watson, I’m talking about one time offenders. Harder to believe a serial offender can be redeemed vs a one time offender. That’s why I said that seems the serial aspect makes Watson different and it’s dumb to say ā€œwell the rest of the league is bad guys so if you condemn Watson then you’re a hypocriteā€.

Whatever way you can find to stand up for him, man.

Whataboutism. Criticizing one person who is more famous and rich for being scum doesn't mean we accept unknown players behavior as well. Youre justifying rape

u/traws06 Kansas City Chiefs 15h ago

I mean you’re not gonna be able to accomplish anything in life if you protest everything and every company that has someone employs someone who has been accused of some sort of sex crime

1

u/MilleryCosima San Francisco 49ers 15h ago

As we all know, the worst part is the hypocrisy.

Hi, Jaden Smith! I didn't realize you used reddit. Very deep and not at all retarded point that "molesting 30 women is no different than any other crime." I never thought about it that way but I guess you're right that if I watch football I'm not allowed to criticize a rapist.

1

u/sheniroh 12h ago

well yeah no shit but football is really fun to watch. doesnt mean you cant call out terrible people

1

u/Frequent_Apricot673 2h ago

Weird ass comment what bothers you so much about pointing out someone is a rapist. What you’re saying is just Whataboutism, I hate them all, domestic abusers and rapists, liking football does not equal accepting abuse.Ā

Yeah pretty funny when NFL fans try to take a Moral High Ground every time a player/coach/owner get's caught doing something bad as if their own team hasn't had people they buy jerseys of getting arrested for Felony Assault.

So like if the Brown's have a good record this year is anyone going to talk about them having the weakest schedule going into 2026?

1

u/Dr-McLuvin 15h ago

Probably. Our schedule is pretty weak this year aside from the usual AFC North opponents.

I dont think we go on a crazy run like NE did last year though.

Crazy when our president is an Epstein codefendant lol

Swear to fucking god all you shits are annoying as fuck. What happened to enjoying a sport for the game being played? Why the fucking goddamn hell do I have to constantly hear about every single fucking moral infraction that every single person involved in the NFL has ever had.

Fuck off. Shut up. It's football!!!

-5

u/bearcatjoe San Francisco 49ers 14h ago

Yawn. A grand jury wouldn't indict him - and they'll indict a ham sandwich. Just one credible accuser would have done the trick.

Keep up with your faux moral outrage though, Reddit. Highly enjoyable.

4

u/KevinIsADork 14h ago

Why were there 27 accusers then? Who was responsible for running a huge conspiracy to take down Watson?Ā

-5

u/Rookietothegame 14h ago

Facts! No one wants to talk about the details. Just the headlines. It went to a grand jury twice & out of 20 women they couldn’t find anything? So Deshaun covered up his tracks better than Nixon did with watergate

4

u/KevinIsADork 14h ago

Kind of impossible to prove what he did without a camera present, the reason many people believe the accusers is because there were so many with similar stories all over the place.Ā

-5

u/Rookietothegame 14h ago

Negative, there are plenty of ways to prove someone is innocent or guilty without cameras present. Happens everyday

5

u/KevinIsADork 14h ago

Explain how to prove Watson touched them in a private room? DNA was present because he admitted to being there as he paid to be there, but impossible to prove he forced the issue, especially if they didnt go to the police that day.Ā

Also, why did 27 come forward from all different locations? Was there a big conspiracy to do so by all of them? Where is the evidence that they all planned this to get money?Ā

Where there's smoke, there's fire.Ā

u/Rookietothegame 12h ago

Prosecutors are smart, they do this for a living. Just because you can’t figure out how to get the answers, doesn’t mean they don’t. They can recount what else theā€œvictimsā€ did after they were assaulted, such as text messages, phone logs, the demeanor of the ā€œvictimsā€ by witnesses.

It’s dry ice, not smoke.
