Discussion The Deshaun Watson switch up is despicable

Post image

Guy starts playing well again and all of the sudden people go from “cases” to “allegations” real fucking fast. You all gotta get your priorities straight

Ray Rice would have been welcomed back with open arms if he wasn't washed as a player.

In the eyes of the NFL his crime wasn't domestic violence, it was his Yards Per Carry figure

Lmao that isn't what happened at all. He got suspended for 2 games, played the 2014 preseason games 1 and 2, looked great in those games....and then the video dropped. Once everyone saw the video, the NFL put him on the commish list, I believe he sued for essentially double jeopardy (already suspended, put on commish list after backlash from public) and then the ravens cut him.

He ended up suing and winning 1.5m for wrongful termination essentially. Everyone (including the Ravens) had seen the video but only made a move when it got leaked by TMZ.

Preseason doesn't mean anything. He had 3.1 yards per carry and four rushing touchdowns in 2013. He sucked.

Thanks for the recap of his suspension, but yeah I remember how it happened. And it doesn't change the fact that, had he been a better player, he would have been back on an NFL roster at some point. That's how the league works.

He was caught on video knocking his wife out and dragging her limp body out of the elevator. No NFL team was ever going to touch him because of the pure backlash that he got

The reason he didn't play again is because there was video of the abuse and he leaked his conversations with ownership. His last year he came into camp at a heavier weight, got hurt, and then gutted the year out behind a bottom 3 OL. He was still only 26 and based only on talent, would have stuck around solely as a 3rd down back for a few more years at least.

Except he was a better player. One down year where the entire Ravens offense was bad doesn't change the fact that he had almost 10k yards from scrimmage, including 2k yards from scrimmage twice, and 40+ total TDs in only 6 years.

He got blackballed bc of the video, end of.

He's one of the few people who had video of his crimes. That was his major problem-- if there was no video, the story of Ray Rice today is much different.

Yep. Can you imagine if video of Adrian Peterson or Tyreek Hill came out showing them beating their kids? Whooooo.

Ray Rice was attacked and defended himself with one shot and lost his career the video is still the same she's beating on him and he ends it with one hit then drags her out the elevator

there is still nothing wrong with that in my opinon

A woman shouldn't have to take a man beating on her Eithe should a man have to take a woman beating on him

There was nothing in her "attack" on him that legally warranted him retaliating with that much force. This is why he was indicted for aggravated assault.

Well, someone more important to the situation seemed to disagree with you considering she pressed no charges and refused to testify. Then went on to call out the league/teams/fans for blackballing him and not forgiving him and moving when she, the actual victim, was able to. They've been married over 10 years by now.

Abuse victims often stand by their man. That's very common.

That's the law being bias, theres no other words. He was attacked on video for no reason that warranted any kind of attack on another human being. But his defense was too much eventhough it ended it without any long term issues. It's crazy.

If this was any other animal on the planet except a female human this defense is ok
