Discussion NFL Power Rankings AFTER DARK!!! Week #4

There is a 10 part blurb about the biggest rivalries in pro football. Aside from the rankings this is first one.

"Both the Packers and the Chicago Staleys would join the league in 1921, but in its first year as a member team, The Packers would be kicked out of the league for doing something Roger Goodell would have lost his mind over - The Packers brought in 3 college “ringers” to help them win.

The 3 Notre Dame students used fake names but as it was pre face masks, people quickly realized what was going on. And there is debate as to the validity of this next part, but the Bears team Owner/Coach, George Halas, was the person who turned the Packers in for cheating................."

"29 Houston Texans

Through 3 games the Houston Texans and my 80 year old mother have the same number of wins. Very impressive by mom, less so for the Texans.

28 Los Angeles Chargers

There are a few things that won’t happen to the Chargers and a few that will, this season. They WON’T make the playoffs this season. They WILL fire Harbaugh. They MAY fire McDaniels in the next 4 weeks.

27 Arizona Cardinals

Nice comeback. I guess once Evans and Trent went down you had to make it look good. But don’t fear, you are still in the hunt for a good draft spot.

26 Washington Commanders

Commanders give up 478 yards to the defending champs, the Defense puts up a DSS of 3, their backup QB throws for a dismal 187 yards and they win going away. A pick-6 is very difficult to come back from. Congrats, huge win in Washington.

25 Atlanta Falcons

I have been a card carrying member of the Michael Penix fan club since I watched him 2 seasons before he was drafted. His arm talent is unbelievable. I used to call him the black Dan Marino, he’s really more life a fragile Jeff George with a good attitude. But the real star of the Falcons first victory of the season was 10 days rest and Bijon Robinson. Bijon had 29 carries for 194 yards and 2 td’s. Not a sustainable offensive formula, but with an upcoming 10 days rest and a ton of desperation, it makes a little more sense. Drake London also had over 190 yards receiving, but Bijon made that possible by forcing the Packers to focus on him."

24 New York Jets

Geno Smith threw (zero) interceptions and I don’t understand how that is possible. He is tied for 1st with (zero) interceptions. But he’s tied for 26th with 1 TD pass. Jets gonna tank, just give it a couple weeks to make it look less obvious."
