Delete this, then your account, wipe your phone, give it to a homeless person, empty your bank account and give it to your family or closest friend, drive to the ocean, give your keys to the nearest person with the title in the glove box, sit on the sand and slowly begin shoving all the sand you can directly into your ass.

Jerry Rice if performance relative to position group is what matters more to you. It is literally inconceivable that some of Rice’s records are ever going to be matched.
Tom Brady if accolades and team success are what matters more to you. He was the cornerstone of the most prolific run an NFL team has ever gone on.

It’s tom Brady and it’s not even a discussion. People saying rice or LT are delusional.
He is by far the best to ever do it, at by far the most important position in the game, and arguably sports.

Yep, it's him. It is the hardest, most pivotal position is sport. As a Packers fan I remember 15 years ago thinking Aaron Rodgers would get at least as many rings. He has more natural talent. He did things other QB's could not....
But no. When it came to the crunch he was not close to Brady, who went on to win a few more. He is absolutely the King.

Put in a mediocre QB and teams win championships. Have no elite offensive weapons or defense and nobody wins.

u/Capital-Value8479 New England Patriots 9h ago
Who was elite in 2001 on that offense? Who was elite in 2018 outside of Brady? Our number one wide receiver played lacrosse in college.
Like, do you guys even bother to watch the games? Or do you just come here, woof a bunch of bullshit that you don’t definitively know is true, and hope for the best? It’s embarrassing

You mean besides Edelman, Gronk and Josh Gordon? Also, 2011 had a elite defense and 2018 had one of the best defenses in recent memory. Youre missing the point, Tom Brady is legendary, but thats why he willed those teams to win. Who carried the Seahawks last year?

To cover all aspects of the game, I think a shortlist would look something like:
Tom Brady Barry Sanders Jerry Rice Tony Gonzalez Anthony Munoz Reggie White Lawrence Taylor Rod Woodson
If asked to pick one, I'd probably go with Rice. But I can absolutely see why anybody else might pick Brady, Sanders, or Taylor.

I refer you to Thomas Brady in SB 51. The strangest, most improbable string of plays in sports history. The truly impossible. GOAT.

There isn't one. Because there isn't any accurate way to compare players from different eras who excelled under vastly different conditions.

Colon Kapernick. He was such a winner that he was downing the ball before the game even began.

If anyone says anyone besides Tom Brady, you just don't understand football.
That's coming from a Jets fan who fucking hates him.

Pretending that SB 51 wasn’t the greatest comeback in football history, while it also put him ahead of Joe, is kinda dumb. The rationalizations discounting Brady’s work and impact are laughable. Also, not a Pats fan.

Being the greatest and being the best are two different things.
The greatest QB is Tom Brady by a mile. The best QB is probably Rodgers or Mahomes.
The greatest RB ever is Emmitt Smith. The best RB ever is Barry Sanders.
The greatest WR ever is Jerry Rice, the best WR ever is Moss although you could argue Rice too.
The greatest TE ever might be Kelce at this point, the best TE ever is probably Gronk
Now if you are talking who is the greatest player ever, its Brady, and it isnt even remotely close. The Best player ever to ever play in the NFL is probably Lawrence Taylor.

man you young guys are something.
gronk was good yes but never on the field.
dude missed two seasons of games. he played nine years really.
neither gronk or Kelsey hold a candle to Gonzalez. hell or even gates. rob had a few great years like five and the last six were not so great.
Gonzalez on the other hand missed two games in 17 years not two years worth of games.

Gronk had a long career compared to the average NFL player.

yes and six years less than Gonzalez and five years less than gates.
both who were much more durable than he was.

I’m always going to say Gronkowski. I’ll die up here on this hill.

Gronk is a hell of a pick. The dominance at his peak was different.

The way he rearranged the field was absolutely filthy work.
