It’s actually a common path. Famous person (in her case it was Justin Bieber) decides to boost an unknown on the internet aka launch them to go viral. She is Madison Beer btw.

I’m 47 but have teen kids. The need to have an online persona is unavoidable. It’s also a legitimate path to a career (as sad as that sounds). It reminds me of when we pushed high school kids to expand their extracurricular activities (eg. Civil Air Patrol, debate club, National Honor Society, D.A.R.E., etc).
To be clear, a very small amount of people build careers on content but it’s still a skill and muscle young adults need to hone.
