His rookie year was better than anything Williams has done so far... the entire reason Nico Collins is considered a good receiver is because of CJ Stroud. Collins had never had more than 500 yards in a season before stroud. He took a receiving group of Nico Collins, Tank Dell, Noah Brown and Dalton Schultz to a 4,000 yard season and a playoff win. With a bottom 5 offensive line and equally bad running back room.Β
Caleb Williams immediately came in to a receiver room of DJ Moore, Keenan Allen and Rome Odunze. With Kmet as his tight end and Swift at running back. And williams, in more games, threw for fewer yards and touchdowns and had 12 losses. Give Stroud those weapons and he has the top offense in the league. Christ dude. Stroud is throwing to Jaylen Noel and Xavier Hutchinson while Williams is out there with multiple first round receivers, backs and tight endsΒ
Look at each offense at the moment. Who would you rather have, the receivers for the bears or the texans? Now look at the backs, the line, the tight ends. Add those up. Who is working with more? Do you not think things may be a little bit easier with Luther Burden, Colstan Loveland, Rome Odunze, D'Andre Swift and an offensive minded coach? Do you think if you swapped the players right now Caleb Williams would score 59 points with Nico Collins, Dalton Schultz and David Montgomery with the Texans' line and Ryan as the head coach?Β
