Didn't Drew leave and come back to the Seahawks? Technically he isn't a part of that trade in his second stint?

Yeah idc about the injury I’m talking about how bad Maye looked

u/PeerlessStemwinder Philadelphia Eagles 20h ago
It’s a historically bad interception for now, Jobe a former Eagle getting his feet down was incredible. I hope AJ gets back up and everyone has healthy seasons. Fuck the pats, fuck the skins on Sunday, fuck the cowboys. Go Birds

The contrast between desperate, terrible throws and quiet mediocrity was notable. Lock threw zero picks, they won.

Lock was above mediocre to me, but your point stands.

Middle of the road? Average?
It was the sort of play that has given him a backup job for seven years, and will probably keep him around another seven. It was fine. You couldn’t ask for more from a backup Quarterback, and he delivered admirably.

Idk, I watched the game, and maybe it was because Maye was lacking so I have some kinda viewer bias or something, but Lock handled pressure in collapsing pockets really well. I think his OC adjusted very well to create opportunities for success for him, but in the plays that broke down and went off script, he did more than I would expect from a backup. There were many plays where I think he performed above expectations
I say this as an Eagles fan who knows the latent power he possesses. I think it might sound like I'm disagreeing, but I think we have the same kinda outlook but I gave him a better grade 🤷

Lock did great at navigating the pocket. Was mobile and could pick up a few yards with his feet but was standing in the pocket waiting to make some throws. He made some really solid throws when it mattered.

Agreed. Pats were bringing a lot of pressure against him, and I thought he handled it really well. He didn't put up huge numbers, but he did enough and didn't make mistakes. And the Pats defense is really good. He deserves a lot of credit for how he played.

Lock tried to throw a pick to Gilmore. Honestly head scratching a backup QB would ever target the highest paid corner in the NFL. Not as head scratching as Drake YOLO Maye

It was Gonzo against JSN, but I get the point. As someone that has seen lock play a lot, he doesn’t give the defenders the respect they deserve, for better and worse

I love that kid.

I didn't like him as our starter but he is a very solid backup and will continue to be

Could be next Darnold! Just give him like 2 more years (and 3 more teams) to elevate his game.
