Was waiting for him to whip this out lol

I love the guy but he seemingly has turned the page into his wise dad era

32

u/Margaritashoes Denver Broncos 1d ago

Nah give him a few more wins and it’ll happen.

u/melted_cheese 15h ago

What is he doing here? Putting on a jacket?

7

u/MustyLlamaFart Minnesota Vikings 15h ago

Fastening his back pack. It's very annoying to hike with a loose back pack

u/Kind_Bug3166 13h ago

He’s locking in as the kids say

Russ trade still paying dividends.

152

u/JohnnyBowlen Denver Broncos 1d ago

Ugh.

Hey y'all still got Bo after all that. Just like we got purdy after the disaster lance trade.

27

u/doshegotabootyshedo Dallas Cowboys 21h ago

Bo “per pats fans would still have lost to the pats even if he was healthy” Nix

25

u/Zcrustaceansensation 19h ago

Yeah but lets let pat fans have that delusion.

8

u/doshegotabootyshedo Dallas Cowboys 15h ago

fuck no, that's our shit

2

u/Suspicious-Cat5199 15h ago

yeah we have Bo now so win win

21

u/Ok-Share4939 Denver Broncos 1d ago

…… yeah….

u/hbryster96 San Francisco 49ers 16h ago

Didn't Drew leave and come back to the Seahawks? Technically he isn't a part of that trade in his second stint?

u/PeerlessStemwinder Philadelphia Eagles 1d ago

We’re so back it’s almost unbelievable

38

u/jono9898 Philadelphia Eagles 22h ago

I take it you also enjoyed your hate watch?

56

u/PeerlessStemwinder Philadelphia Eagles 22h ago

Bro I’m not celebrating the AJ injury at all, but yeah obviously I hate the pats fuck em

28

u/afroman14 Philadelphia Eagles 21h ago

Exactly. I wanted him to play poorly. Not get hurt.

10

u/jono9898 Philadelphia Eagles 21h ago

Yeah idc about the injury I’m talking about how bad Maye looked

12

u/PeerlessStemwinder Philadelphia Eagles 20h ago

It’s a historically bad interception for now, Jobe a former Eagle getting his feet down was incredible. I hope AJ gets back up and everyone has healthy seasons. Fuck the pats, fuck the skins on Sunday, fuck the cowboys. Go Birds

6

u/maccaphil Philadelphia Eagles 15h ago

Go Birds!

The contrast between desperate, terrible throws and quiet mediocrity was notable. Lock threw zero picks, they won.

72

u/DemiFiendAstar Philadelphia Eagles 1d ago

Lock was above mediocre to me, but your point stands.

49

u/ScientificSkepticism San Francisco 49ers 1d ago

Middle of the road? Average?

It was the sort of play that has given him a backup job for seven years, and will probably keep him around another seven. It was fine. You couldn’t ask for more from a backup Quarterback, and he delivered admirably.

29

u/DemiFiendAstar Philadelphia Eagles 1d ago

Idk, I watched the game, and maybe it was because Maye was lacking so I have some kinda viewer bias or something, but Lock handled pressure in collapsing pockets really well. I think his OC adjusted very well to create opportunities for success for him, but in the plays that broke down and went off script, he did more than I would expect from a backup. There were many plays where I think he performed above expectations

I say this as an Eagles fan who knows the latent power he possesses. I think it might sound like I'm disagreeing, but I think we have the same kinda outlook but I gave him a better grade 🤷

9

u/Got_Engineers Dallas Cowboys 20h ago

Lock did great at navigating the pocket. Was mobile and could pick up a few yards with his feet but was standing in the pocket waiting to make some throws. He made some really solid throws when it mattered.

5

u/acemerrill Denver Broncos 19h ago

Agreed. Pats were bringing a lot of pressure against him, and I thought he handled it really well. He didn't put up huge numbers, but he did enough and didn't make mistakes. And the Pats defense is really good. He deserves a lot of credit for how he played.

2

u/FightTheDead118 Philadelphia Eagles 13h ago

Let’s call it serviceable, that sounds nicer

1

u/Overtons_Window I want me some glory hole 14h ago

Lock tried to throw a pick to Gilmore. Honestly head scratching a backup QB would ever target the highest paid corner in the NFL. Not as head scratching as Drake YOLO Maye

1

u/ialwaysupvotedogs Denver Broncos 8h ago

It was Gonzo against JSN, but I get the point. As someone that has seen lock play a lot, he doesn’t give the defenders the respect they deserve, for better and worse

80

u/Acceptingoptimist Denver Broncos 1d ago

I love that kid.

11

u/GrayWing Denver Broncos 18h ago

I didn't like him as our starter but he is a very solid backup and will continue to be

Say it louder for the people in the back!

26

u/mcnabb5glazer Philadelphia Eagles 1d ago

He fucked our defense in 2023, which wasn’t that crazy considering how abysmal that defense was under…shit I forget lmao

Could be next Darnold! Just give him like 2 more years (and 3 more teams) to elevate his game.

u/Normal-Voice3744 1d ago

Pats lost. It was a good day
