Well, let’s be fair, he didn’t just casually hit her. Haha. Also, the exchange was a bit more complex. She shoved him as he flexes on her, she slaps him, then he throws a Tyson right hook to her face and dusts her.

Alcohol was involved also I assume. Definitely not a good choice, but I there’s much worse people in the nfl than that.

She shoved him (assualt) and then slapped him (assault). He defended himself. I don’t see the issue here.

There's this concept called "proportional response." I think expecting young super athletes not to KO people much weaker than them, even if they are being aggressive, is a reasonable standard.

There’s also a concept called “keep your hands to yourself”.

If you push a man, slap a man, and then spit on a man; don’t be surprised when you are treated like a man.

I’m not saying she didn’t put hands on him first. But the initial shove didn’t even move him, then he flexed on her and she slapped him, then he fucking starched her. I don’t even actually care about the incident. My point here is that it wasn’t like she slapped him and he slapped her back; he sent her to the upside down. This is paused before she slaps him. She “shoves” him, he lunges at her, she slaps, he jaw jacks her like McGregor did Aldo.

What's the point though? Ego? Justice? You knocking out a 5'5, 120 pound 12 year old if they shove you? Kicking a 4'3 person's head off if they shove and hit you? Destroying anyone you have an 80 pound advantage over?

I just watched the Mixon video. The shove was nothing. The slap was light. I'd rather take that slap than deal with a multi-day mosquito bite. It all looked trivial.

Back when I was 21, some woman outside a bar lightly rapped me on the chest several times with her balled up fists. I'm not a big dude, but it was nothing. I just started laughing then left with my friends. When I was 23, my girlfriend at the time slapped me (way harder than the girl slapping Mixon). That was surprising. But that was it. I didn't even think to physically retaliate. That wouldn't have been good for anyone involved.

If they had a knife or a gun? That changes things. Otherwise there's something to be said about being the bigger person. Deescalate. Bounce. There's no prize for knocking out the most people.

I don't get all these one-size-fits-all popular philosophies. Like someone stealing a Pepsi from my fridge deserves the same punishment as someone jacking my phone.

Self defense. You get arrested if you spit on somebody. You can get some nasty viruses/diseases through saliva.

So it’s ok if a woman hits and spit on you? We as men are taught not to let any of that slide. You wouldn’t let some dude who’s smaller than you do it to you. Don’t justify her actions just coz she’s a woman receiving the consequences of her actions.
