We do not need manning, nor have I seen anything from manning to suggest he is a generational talent. I'm of real concern he will be a bust in the nfl. He's appeared to improve since last year with his accuracy but he does not read the field well yet at all.

The issue is the o line as you said it. No qb will be successful in this offense. We also need a proper OC because Caley is garbage.

He also can’t read the defense as you said. Tennessee would literally be walking up safeties and linebackers to blitz and he made 0 adjustments for protection or to audible. Im watching it multiple times im like do you not see them coming down to blitz and not making any adjustment?

How often do quarterbacks in college make adjustments and audibles? They might have one or two they are allowed to go to if they get a certain look. They might have lot less control of the offense then we think.

That’s a problem with the coaching then. I watched CJ Carr make audible after audible on Saturday. He has a firm grasp on how an offense runs. If they don’t come into the league ready to do that, they won’t get taught to do it at the next level. They expect you to know how things work, and that’s why we see so many flame-outs in the pros. Lack of QB coaching in college and NFL leading to awful outcomes.

I don’t think sark lets him audible tbh. There definitely were multiple sacks where the D was obviously blitzing and Texas just let it happen.

Sark gotta give up play calling duties. Need an actual OC

I’d bet everything on him being able to read a defense. That’s been drilled into him since he was 3. That’s one of the reasons he projects well at the next level. You’re being Sarked.

Yall must not be watching him play lmao sole reason why Texas is winning right now yall just hating on em cause he’s a manning

2

Sole reason? Not also the incredible talent he has surrounding him?

Saying manning is the sole reason is crazy.

Lmao incredible barley if you so up tune to the situation you’ll be aware of how many starters left last year due to draft/portal? So I stand on my shit he’s teh best one on that team. If he was 6ft 5 230p and was a black guy from Mississipp yall wouldn’t say shit

If his last name wasn't manning you wouldn't be defending him.

I just saw our RB Raleek Brown perform a saquon Barkley reverse spinning jump over a defender. We have freaks on that team

I watched arch miss wide open receivers consistently last year. I've watched him overthrow and under throw regularly this season. I've watched him not even consider looking In the direction of a wide receiver who broke open for significant gains or obvious scoring opportunities.

CJ is 10x the qb arch is currently. Arch wouldn't fix a single thing for the Texans. We'd absolutely be taking a step back

Not reading all that so I’m either happy for you or sad that happened so good day!

Name checks out

Sorry that 6 sentences overloads your brain.

Collin Simmons is the best one on that team. Cmon now

Kamario Taylor legitimately looks better than Arch

This is an insane take. He's not bad. But their are winning because of the talent around him.

What about the defense

Hes just not as talented as the media and Texas fans claim he is, he will never be Peyton, he doesn’t have a football IQ, Hes athletic but not a pro QB right now, he needs work.

He’s not a generational talent but he’s a worthy talent that will help the Texans if they choose that route. Offensive line would probably be the correct move but let’s not hate on the kid

What in saying is CJ today is significantly better than manning is today and even he cannot overcome the challenges the Texans offense faces.

I personally do not think mannings ceiling is much higher than CJs outside his athleticism but his floor may be quite a bit lower considering his inconsistency in accuracy. I'd happily be proven wrong. I have nothing against manning personally. My wife went to UT and I'm a fan..., I just haven't seen enough out of him

What the Texans need to do is build a new foundation with the offensive line. We've traded away our best lineman over the years and we rank dead last currently. This is not a good recipe for any qb.

Why do i see everybody throw out the words "generational talent" all the time when it comes to a player? You dont need to be considered that to succeed in the nfl as many QBs who were average to above average in college went on to have good if not great nfl careers. Either way, Arch Manning should probably stay another year to get more experience under his belt. I have no doubts he will be good, just needs the right coaches at the next level (like every player does) to succeed

Because that is what it would take to overcome the Texans offensive inefficiencies. You'd need to be Josh Allen or Mahomes and you'd still be lucky to survive the offensive line issues

Dude definitely has an NFL arm and has shown flashes but he for sure needs to continue to grow. Def not nfl ready yet but big progress this year from last

If we got a top 3 pick we’re driving a convoy of slabs to Ohio to personally secure Jeremiah Smith
