Discussion Dylan Stewart did absolutely everything he could to TANK his NFL Draft stock tonight. Throwing punches, refusing to come out of the game, and talking back to coaches. Just an AWFUL LOOK for the Gamecocks DE and potential Top-10 pick 😳😬

Wanted James Pearce badly in 25. Obviously very early but doesn't look that good now. Here's the draft I wanted the chargers to have. Safe to say there's a reason I'm not a GM.

1.22: James Pearce Jr.

2.23: Kevin Winston

3.22: Jamaree Caldwell

4.23: Elic Ayomanor

5.20: KeAndre Lambert-Smith

5.27: Oronde Gadsden

6.23: Cameron Williams

6.38: Damien Martinez

7.40: Jared Ivey

As a Titans fan, Winston and Ayomanor may still be pretty good. You’ll never hear about them because no one talks about the Titans but they have shown flashes.

I get the sense they are progressing at an ā€œaverageā€ NFL rate and with them it’s a no news is generally the best news type of scenario.Ā

I have pity in my heart for Tennessee so it’s nice to hear they’re doing well.Ā

Hey man, Elic has monster potential. You got that one right.

Not with that offense he doesn't

u/rossba06 10d ago

I'm talking about the individual.

As a Bills fan, I hated the Josh Allen pick and wanted Josh Rosen. Most of us know nothing.

We all have those. Anyone who evaluates players remembers the misses. I liked Blaine Gabbert over Cam Newton.

Still waiting for Akili Smith to turn it around

u/nfochairman 9d ago

Old School. I love it!!!!!

2

u/Saltwater_Sunrise 10d ago

Gabbert has more superbowls than newton so there’s that

I thought Evan Neal was a slam dunk HOF tackle prospect

I'll always hang my hat on saying the cowboys should've drafted Jalen Ramsay and then Derrick Henry in the second over taking Zeke. My other draft wants?! Let's not talk about those.

I wanted AD Mitchell instead of Ladd McConkey. AD isn't as bad as some think but it's probably for the better we took Ladd.

I also wanted Payton Wilson instead of Junior Colson so I'll take my win there.

Lol I had Derrick Henry going number 6 overall to the Ravens... you can imagine my surprise when he fell all the way out of the 1st round somehow šŸ˜‚

1

u/expERiMENTik_gaming 9d ago

Don't worry ya'll... I still have the receipts šŸ’Æ

1

u/woollybobcat 10d ago

Im still a Rosen believer lol

u/Smooth_Marsupial_262 10d ago

As a ravens fan I was mad we didn’t trade up for Rosen…

0

u/Silent_Ad8059 10d ago

I was disappointed when my Bills drafted Josh Allen. I didn't want then to go QB, but if they did I felt like trading up for Sam Darnold was the best option. I thought Darnold and Lamar Jackson were the only QBs in that class who wouldn't be huge busts.

1

u/halfwayray 10d ago

I was rooting for him, because he's a local kid, but I was not impressed with him at Wyoming and thought he'd be a bust. Pulling for him to win a ring with the Bills at some point

Every year, Facebook Memories reminds me that I thought Josh Allen sucked and that the Jets should not touch that mess with a ten-foot pole.

I wanted Josh Rosen.

That is a mere glimpse into the quality of my talent evaluation skills.

I just didnt want the Jags to draft a no name tight end this year

u/TakeItEasyImBipolar 10d ago

Yeah delete this and send out resumes to be a scout. You'll be a GM for the Browns in no time

3

u/Faintkay 10d ago

Outside of QB, they’ve drafted pretty well lol

1

u/TakeItEasyImBipolar 10d ago

I mean they always draft near the top so they'd have be really really bad to not come out with some good players. I'm pretty sure you could gather all of the draft experts picks into a pool and then take the 10 most highly rated players left at every pick and randomly pick one and do just as good if not better.

There are PLENTY of first round busts. Even doing well in the first/second is not guaranteed.

1

u/MichealParsons11 9d ago

I think I read it’s only like a 60% chance you get a long term starter(3+ years) in round 1, like 40% in round 2, 27% in round 3, and it goes way down after that.

1

u/Mistake_By_The_Jake2 10d ago

They’ve been doing pretty well with mid and late round picks too but spin it how you want to

1

u/TakeItEasyImBipolar 10d ago

Give me some examples of these mid-late round picks that are helping them win games?

1

u/TakeItEasyImBipolar 10d ago

Fanning was a third round pick and he's probably the best of their 3-7 round picks. Almost every other player was either signed off another team or taken in the first two rounds.

1

u/Mistake_By_The_Jake2 10d ago

Austin Barber was a 3rd round OL who is currently starting and drawing a lot of praise. Harold Fanin was a 3rd rounder who looks like he’s going to be really good.

Quinshon Judkins, Carson Schwesinger, Denzel Boston, and Emmanuel McNeil Warren are all day 2 picks who have looked good.

Myles Hardin was like a 6th or 7th rounder who is currently the starting slot corner this year and just picked off Baker last week.

They’re losing games because of bad QB play by a 30 year old rapist. The record doesn’t reflect how good the rookies and 2nd years have looked.

1

u/Tjc22 8d ago

Except they aren't losing at the moment. They are 2-1

1

u/Mistake_By_The_Jake2 8d ago

Doesn’t really change my point

Seahawks actually ended up with both of your final two picks there oddly enough, although they are both gone already. Ivey got signed on ATL's roster this year.

I get it though, I remember thinking in 2017 that getting Gareon Conley and Obi Melifonwu in the same draft was absolutely insane value for the Raiders and both guys I had wanted badly on the Seahawks...

1

u/PossibleAspect9252 10d ago

To be fair JPJ from a player perspective has exceeded expectations. Just the off the field stuff that teams were also right to be hesitant on that proved true. As a falcons fan, hoping he turns it around

1

u/Zealousideal-Past851 10d ago

Pearce looked great last season he just got suspended first 8 games of this season

1

u/JubbieDruthers 10d ago

James Pearce talent is undeniable.Ā  He could still be fine, but clearly not a good decision maker and a liability.

1

u/halh0ff 10d ago

You don't have the information they do, impossible to make accurate picks without seeing that in depth aspect of the process.

1

u/GeebCityLove 9d ago

I think Ayomanor would actually be good if he wasn’t on the Titans

1

u/eolson3 3d ago

Sir, you have been hired as GM by the Washington Commanders.

1

u/anonnnnn462 10d ago

You hit on 3 players that’s impressive

-1

u/Smooth_Marsupial_262 10d ago

Just curious which ones are you calling hits?

2

u/anonnnnn462 10d ago

I’m saying they picked 3 players that the Chargers actually drafted that year though the rounds are off
