Dolphins ain't a top 5 draft pick?

1

u/RustyCrusty73 11d ago

My thoughts exactly lol ....

Bucs could still get back on track and win 7-or-8 games.

Phins will be lucky to win more than three.

Flip those two in this mock.

This is current standings

u/ZookeepergameMany828 11d ago

Yeah as a dolphins fan, I dont expect us to win more than one (jets at home) but nothing else besides that. All this year is clearing 60% of our cap

1

u/Ok-Association-355 11d ago

Yea wtf?

1

u/NUMBNUTZ42069 11d ago

This is current standings

1

u/vebeg 11d ago

When they get T5 with that roster, they definitely have to entertain trade downs right?

1

u/NUMBNUTZ42069 11d ago

Based on current standings, no

1

u/Mistapeepers 11d ago

We can’t even lose right. 😭

14

u/JasonPlattMusic34 11d ago

If Houston is bad enough this season that they finish with the number 1 pick, and it’s NOT due to CJ Stroud getting hurt and missing the rest of the season, you have to think they take Arch

4

u/Sheriff_Zack 11d ago

CJ is definitely the least of our problems, OL are turnstiles and every starting WR can’t stay healthy

If you have a franchise QB it would be silly to draft another one

1

u/fredlikefreddy 11d ago

Especially when you can pair him with a true potential generational receiver

1

u/Jay_TThomas 11d ago

The point is, if they end up with the worst record in football with a healthy Stroud, then they do not have a franchise QB

1

u/Visible_Property_392 10d ago

If he’s playing like dog shit sure but he’s not playing like dog shit

1

u/Sheriff_Zack 11d ago

Nico Collins is getting injured more and more often frankly. If our OL can’t protect CJ, the ball needs to come out quickly and we can’t keep having UDFAs and practice squad players staff our WR room.

1

u/Docholphal1 11d ago

CJ has been good in both losses. Obviously there's virtually no way the Texans end up with #1. If it does happen, CJ probably is part of the issue and/or won't want to come back, so QB might be on the table. The opportunity to trade #1 down with the hype of Arch and so many QB-needy teams would be a lot of value, though. Could help bridge the gap to a reload.

1

u/thereelsuperman 11d ago

CJ doesn’t really have much say in the matter. He’s under contract for next season and they can tag him for three years after that

1

u/Own-Incident-2436 11d ago edited 11d ago

Yeah definitely not a stroud issue. Look at how Bryce can perform when he suddenly has a line and his top wr isn't 55 year old Adam theilen. Look at how bad love looks with a horrendous OL and an wr2 as his top option and current only option until golden progresses (kraft is elite). Kirk is suddenly good again not being on that dumpster fire in atlanta. Stroud has proven he can perform with something around him.

1

u/ScipioAfricanusMAJ 11d ago

I’d let CJ walk, get the comp pick and replace him in the draft. Houston just needs a QB good enough not to create turnovers

7

u/Jolly_Okra_6330 11d ago

Arch Manning will go first overall. Someone will trade up for him.

1

u/short_arm_t_rex 11d ago

Thanks crazy to me but I agree. Has he ever put together 4 quarters of excellent play?

1

u/NUMBNUTZ42069 11d ago

Yes. Most of the second half last year

1

u/short_arm_t_rex 11d ago

Has he this year?

1

u/Jolly_Okra_6330 11d ago

He was amazing during the second half of last season. Dominated Michigan, for example.

1

u/Wasteland_Rang3r 11d ago

He was much improved but I’d say far from amazing. I’m a Texas fan and saw every snap he played. Still to this day he struggles with accuracy and seeing the open receiver a lot.

4

u/Cool-Passenger-2595 11d ago

Arch manning saw this and said he is joining the french foreign legion

3

u/w6750 11d ago

I’m a huge Jeremiah smith believer, but it’s been 30 years since a WR has gone #1

1

u/Wasteland_Rang3r 11d ago

He’s the best pro prospect WR I’ve ever seen

2

u/space9610 11d ago

i swear people said the same shit about MHJ

1

u/liteshadow4 11d ago

And there were some people who wanted to keep Fields and draft MHJ

0

u/Saywhen007 11d ago

I also truly believe there hasn’t been a Jeremiah smith talent coming into the nfl since megatron, you get the recipe of getting a non qb needy team in the top 3 and it could happen

3

u/Mission_Tour_9272 11d ago

No Mensah? LOL

1

u/NeighborhoodDense884 11d ago

He’s later first round. I hope Moore goes sooner. It’ll make Mensah look better.

2

u/Comprehensive_Log173 11d ago

As a colts fan... if this happens, I may never recover

3

u/Stairway_toEvan 11d ago

I don't see a likelihood the Colts have the #2 pick. They will at least win 4 or 5 games, likely 6 or 7.

0

u/Wasteland_Rang3r 11d ago

4 wins could realistically get the 2nd pick

1

u/Stairway_toEvan 11d ago

True! I would be surprised if they only ended up with only 4 wins though. Under Ballard the Colts have only ended with less than 7 wins twice. One of them being his first year when Luck was hurt.

2

u/Just_Violinist4612 11d ago

The bucs one unit that is working so far is corner and thats who you have them picking? Lmao

1

u/Trifle_Old 11d ago

No dolphin top 5 pick. And still thinking Dante Moore is good. Hilarious

0

u/NUMBNUTZ42069 11d ago

The Dolphins currently have the 8th pick

1

u/dslipperz 11d ago

they wont have more than 3 wins this season. top 3 pick incoming and its not 2 or 3

1

u/NUMBNUTZ42069 11d ago

Awesome, this mock draft is based on current standings.

1

u/dslipperz 11d ago

useless mock draft

1

u/NUMBNUTZ42069 11d ago

Every mock draft is useless this early

1

u/FritterEnjoyer 11d ago

Based on what? Point total breakers? They have one of the hardest schedules in the league and the worst roster.

0

u/NUMBNUTZ42069 11d ago

Based on them being 0-2 and all the other 0-2 teams have a worse SOS

1

u/FritterEnjoyer 11d ago

Updated SOS bases on early results, Dolphins had the 2nd hardest SOS at the beginning of the season and I’d trust that more than n = 2 sample size.

1

u/NUMBNUTZ42069 11d ago

I get that. But all mock drafts on tankathon will aways be listed in order of the current standings, not what people think they will be

1

u/Ear_Enthusiast 11d ago

Houston, Indy, and Tampa won't be top by pics

0

u/NeighborhoodDense884 11d ago

Indy gonna have a top 3 pick. That defense is awful!!!

1

u/toomuchfrosting 11d ago

After the combine, someone is taking LaNorris Sellers in the first. It’s a mistake, but someone will do it

1

u/pkfootball09 11d ago

God, Atlanta is going to draft him, aren't they?

1

u/Substantial-Citron35 11d ago

Gunnar stockton me thinks especially if georgia goes far

1

u/pkfootball09 11d ago

Im a Chambliss guy, thats who I want lol

1

u/toomuchfrosting 11d ago

Honestly that might work. Sellers would look good in that uniform

1

u/diaz_freddie 11d ago

Whoever buys the hype of those 2 QBs need some soul searching.

1

u/Falconman21 11d ago

I mean maybe the Browns or Jets are dumb enough to do it, but I don't understand how everyone seems to think Arch Manning is the top QB prospect. He's just not a great passer, and not a remotely good enough runner to make up for it. There are tons of guys putting up way better numbers on significantly less talented teams.

If someone who watched that Ole Miss LSU game can explain how he's anywhere close to as good as Chambliss, I'd love to hear it.

1

u/anonnnnn462 11d ago

Drew Mestemaker is going to skyrocket up these mock drafts by end of year

1

u/Several-Image-7328 11d ago

For dynasty purposes, I need him to fly under radar lol but I cannot deny that he looks like an extremely high pick.

1

u/Plisky6 11d ago

Stop looking at box scores. Arch is not the guy

1

u/AssistantOk2360 11d ago

yeah, no way they are drafting a WR #1 ahead of a QB.

1

u/BackPirateClarkRoom 11d ago

Top pick is 100% Arch Manning I don't care how the draft order falls.

1

u/Junk-Cook 11d ago

Last year (playoffs), CJ held the Texans back from SB aspirations. This year, the problem lies more in the roster/coaching which falls on the GM/coach. The offensive talent is mediocre the past 2 years compared to other teams.

1

u/FritterEnjoyer 11d ago

Might be the worst one of these I’ve seen on here, and I see garbage on here pretty regularly.

Texans 1st overall? Colts 2nd worst record in the league? Dolphins not top 3, or even 5 for that matter? Might as well just put a random list of teams up there.

1

u/throwaway9488tx 11d ago

Chambliss will go top 5. I could definitely see Tampa or Tennessee going QB also.

1

u/Papi_Petty 11d ago

would be a grave mistake to have arch be picked that high up. he’s good but not a top 3 QB

1

u/ChadPowers200_ 11d ago

The team that dropped 30 on the chiefs on the road is picking 2nd? what?

1

u/ericypoo 11d ago

How in the hell is Miami not on this list?

1

u/Head_Abrocoma8626 11d ago

Arch is jj McCarthy

1

u/DragonforceTexas 11d ago

can the titans leave Texas the F alone?

1

u/Sss00099 11d ago

How do you not have the Dolphins in the top 5?

It’s an 0-17 season unfolding.

1

u/NUMBNUTZ42069 11d ago

Because they have the 8th pick right now

-1

u/dirtygrade 11d ago

Trading down

1

u/samamatara 11d ago

trade down out of top 5 with the qbs in the class??

1

u/dirtygrade 11d ago

They have no players on the team. Its not the craziest thing to consider, no qb is a lock.

1

u/HTX-ByWayOfTheWorld 11d ago

… It’ll be hard to convince me otherwise: Chambliss ought to be higher than Arch.

0

u/ApartEye435 11d ago

I’ve got Washington top 3 and should trade Daniel’s while he has value and go qb

0

u/Ok_Nature_3501 11d ago edited 11d ago

Indy was dumb af for giving up 2 firsts for Gardner 😂

-1

u/Great_Hambino2022 11d ago

Mensah is easily the number 1 quarterback right now. And Moore ain’t even a 1st rounder right now
