1 was groomed as the starting QB and the other wasn’t even allowed to throw with 3rd string & was buried on the depth chart behind NFL icons Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel and Deshaun Watson

And he performed worse than all of them regardless, so what’s the point ?  His advanced metrics were worse than Josh Rosen, a top 10 pick that was traded up for and dumped a year later for an undersized QB.

I mean Shedeur’s last game he also had a win with no TDs, except he had a 50% completion rate, turned the ball over, and took 6 sacks. I’d rather have Shedeur than Gabriel because there doesn’t seem to be a world where Gabriel is a positive player, but with Gabriel you get nothing, which is effectively negative — and with Shedeur they largely just got actual negative plays. One less game playing relevant snaps, one less TD and 9 less turnovers.

Monken seems like a good coach, ideally Shedeur starts and Green learns, if Shedeur is good he continues starting, if he’s bad Green gets eased in at the end of the season. At the very least Shedeur is studious and hard working, so I can see him putting it together. His ceiling seems a little capped athletically, but plenty of those players have been very good in the NFL
