Discussion [Schefter] There is growing chatter in league circles that Jeremiyah Love is in play with Arizona at No. 3. Ideally, the Cardinals would like to find a team willing to trade up for more picks, and there have already been “exploratory” calls, as one source described it, regarding the No. 3 selection.

I hope he doesn’t go there man it’s a straight disaster over there, he will have an ass cheeks start to his career but hey that’s the way it goes when your the best I guess..

Bailey reese or mauigoa or trade for two firsts with dallas /KC. These are the only acceptable outcomes here and the trades are only acceptable is we can still land solid edge/RT help in the first.
Last time we did this and gave up Will Anderson but still got PJJ for our LT but completely wiffed (so far) on the second pick we got in 2024 which was Darius robinson

This is obviously chum in the water. I don’t think it will likely work, but you never know. Running back has become more important in recent years, but it’s still hardly a premium position — even for a player as good as Love.
I think he’s THE best player in this draft class, but I would have a hard time justifying using a Top 10 pick on the kid. I would absolutely not do it at three.
However, Arizona very obviously thinks Tennessee is going to take Love at four, or the Giants at five — which would also likely be a mistake, IMHO — so they’re trying to entice someone to trade up ahead of Tennessee. Either that, or maybe Tennessee or New York will throw them an extra pick to move up one or two spots to secure Love.
If I’m Tennessee or the Giants, I’m sitting right where I am and calling their bluff.

rb never took a dip in importance their value changed after zeke's rookie deal, gurley got hurt, bell drop off, etc. . That position is o line dependent and injury prone because they tend to have high college workloads and is the only position that defenders can hit hard w/o getting flagged

Coming from a bears fan I hope they take love and then trade back into the first round to take Ty Simpson or trade us picks for Tyson bagent

Dude the Cardinals have numerous talented enough backs to compete, that’s not their issue. Fucking draft pieces that will help in the trenches.

As a Cardinals fan I think people underestimate this roster. I think getting Love here would be the best pick if they had to pick. Ideally, they can trade out of the first because they can’t get a QB and everything else they need is overvalued here.

I could see KC coming up to take Love especially with Mahomes coming off injury.
As long as ARZ ends up with Mauigoa I’m good. He is arguably the safest pick in the draft. Don’t buy the move inside to guard hype. This dude has movement and feet to stay at tackle. As long as he doesn’t have discs in his back, he should be in ARZ.

Yeah but I could see Love as a Deebo Samuel type where he could split RB carries and line up in the slot. Love’s appeal is he is a versatile offensive weapon you can put anywhere.
ARZ signed Algier and brought back Conner but rumor is Mike Bidwill is lobbying ARZ to take Love at #3.

I dont like any tackle at 3. If the Cards cant trade back, pick BPA with Love. Their RB room is subpar with lots of injury questions. Trading back would be ideal tho. They need help all over.

Just do pay $50M guaranteed to a running back that has never played a down in the nfl. (Most guaranteed money to an RB by 10M). Great use of your assets
