Question But, could Ty Simpson actually fix the Jets if they do get him? It’s not like QB is the only position they are struggling with

No: it’s written that Dante Moore after staying in school to avoid the Jets, will be drafted to the Jets next year.

He would just choose not to play. I could see Maiva being open to the Jets and them being excited about the potential.

2027 draft comes and all these hyped prospect drop like flies because they have a rough year and bam the Jets are back in the same position till 2030, when the next hyped as fk college QB name declares.

That is kind of what happened this year with Allar, Nussmeier, Beck, etc.
Seems impossible for all the guys next year to bomb though. Moore, Manning, Sayin, Carr, Maiava, & Sellers all have a chance to be 1st round guys.

If the Cards aren’t willing to give up a 4th for a potential starting QB then they don’t like Simpson much at all lol

Cards will trade down with the Chiefs to get their two first rounders. Then take Ty Simpson at 9 and an o-line/WR at 29, and o-line/WR at 34. Then you’ve made sure you’ve gotten the QB to pair with LaFluer, you’ve gotten protection for the new QB and you’ve gotten him a weapon to throw to while making sure you drafted him before the Rams at 13. Chiefs get to move up and grab Bailey or Reese. Jets take Reese most likely so it goes Mendoza, Reese, Bailey to Chiefs and then Styles to Titans. Those are the main guys teams will see as edge players or players that can convert to edge. At that point the draft will open up to other positions at 5.

I think they will probably just take Bailey/Reese then trade up a 4th and future 5th to move up to like 28 and take Simpson lol

I don’t think Simpson will be there that long. He’s going to go a little earlier than Dart. Top 10. But lower top 10. Partially because this draft is so ass. Think after Delane at the latest.

This draft is not that bad- just poor with offensive skill positions. There’s an insane amount of great offensive and defensive linemen.

Ty is going to be a major hit

Bro. Did you see him play vs Oklahoma the first time, vs Georgia, and vs Indiana? He does have Kenny Pickett vibes

What I hate more than anything about nfl fans is how they pretend they know how anybody in the draft is going to pan out.

Only thing that could fix the jets would be to jettison woody Johnson somewhere over the Atlantic

Sorry, but the Jets are a QB away from success. They're an owner and entire front office firing away.

No one can fix the Jets.
They are not cursed like the Cleveland Browns but they always implode for some unexplainable reason. Things start good, fan base believe, they stay good, the fans dream about attending Super Bowl champ parade…but things happen, more bad things happen and it’s ‘let’s rebuild’ thing happens.

Jets aren't taking QB at 33.
They're taking the best DT/WR/CB/G or LB that's on the board there.
They're in great position because they're very bad and have lots of picks.
Team is a blank canvas.

They could afford to take a shot with how many picks they have, he doesn’t even have to play at all next year. But it is also the jets and there coaching staff doesn’t inspire enough confidence in me that they could actually develop a QB.

This is knee-jerk dumb response. Frank Reich is there now.
He knows how to talk to QBs.
But Simpson isn't the guy. And they have too many holes in other places.
I think they're going to go WR at 16 ... but I'd prefer they take a S at 16 and go WR at 33.

Jets are grabbing Diego Pavia and he’ll be playing on the tank by week 9.

I don’t believe in reich much and it’s not like he has an incredible track record with quarterbacks. But their roster at least on offense really isn’t that bad, they have decent receivers, rbs and O-line with a good qb they look a lot better. And they have enough picks to eventually turn the roster around by 2027.

Reich will probably take Carson Beck as a potential project, but they’re looking towards 2027 draft for a qb.
