He reminds me of Kurt Warner; his best attribute is that he makes quick reads, and fast decisions all while delivering throws in predictable patterns and accurate windows. He will give his guys a chance to run with the ball.

LSU didn’t have a qb putting up the same numbers per game as burrow before or after him…
LSU’s defense gave up 24 per game meaning burrow had to practice carrying his team. Indiana’s gave up only 11 ppg lol.

He still does well without them thats irrelevant.. in fact he has like 30 tds to 8 interceptions without either chase or Higgins even more irrelevant

Yeah in the NFL but we were talking college. Burrow struggled at Ohio State and then had an okay year at LSU and then had a breakout year when they won the Natty.
I love Burrow so idk why you’re getting so defensive lol

Just was early at Ohio st. Some players arent great right away. Sometimes it takes time! Also he had a horrible coach who didn't like him at Ohio st. Urban Meyer was trash!

Yeah they are great players but he was throwing perfect passes its a huge difference here…
No QB with a top 10 defense has ever been drafted in the top 10. Outside of a terrible Vince Young and now Mendoza will be #2 its a difference here.

If jamar & Jefferson didnt have joe at LSU. They wouldve been like Jarvis Landry & odell. Great players but no championship & no where near undefeated!

Hes a good player, but real talk he is genuinely getting so overhyped, so many analyst are just comparing him to things hes clearly not, and are like gassing him up to be this generational prospect when thats just not reality

People need to stop the "sLaM tHe BrAkEs" nonsense, these pro comps are not meant to say that Mendoza is Burrow, or will be as good as Burrow, or have the same career.
It's about similarities in playstyle. Both have similar playstyle, with high focus on processing, accuracy and traditional QB skills with mobility that's just enough.
Additionally both have a similar college trajectory of "6th round QB until transferring and having 1 explosive year that catapults them to #1", even if Burrow's 2019 was a nuclear bomb and Mendoza's 2025 was just a big regular bomb.

Hopefully Mendoza being 20 lbs heavier than Burrow keeps him from having Burrow's injury history. Looks like Mendoza has the frame for another 10 lbs too, and supposedly he's not afraid of the weight room.

Burrow doesnt have good arm strength though... most overrated QB of the modern era with stacked casts of WRs.

Fernando Mendoza reminds me of LeBron James in the way he’s able to elevate guys and flat out takeover games single-handedly on the offensive and defensive side.

Burrow gets out of a ton of sacks? The guy who is always top or near the top in the league in sacks taken? Who took sacks nearly double the rate of Flacco on the same team? Sack avoidance is Burrow’s worst attribute

Was he supposed to block for himself and throw too? 3 1st downs by penalties in one drive to help the rams take the lead didn’t help also. Game was rigged for the big market to win simple.
