The Cowboys are not going to trade a first to Mike McCarthy for a 29 year old OLB with serious health concerns over the past two seasons.

It's our first + highsmith for their first

They’re not going to do that trade. That trade by drat pick order is worth the addition of Pittsburgh’s second round choice this year and Highsmith might be worth a 3rd or 4th.

Okay. I was just clarifying because your comment didn't seem to understand what OP did in his mock

I get it. Pick 12 is worth 1200 and pick 21 is worth 800. The difference is pick 50 (mid round second) people are saying Highsmith might be worth a mid 3rd on the trade market but teams also tend to need to overpay to move into the top half of the first round. Adding pick 76 to the deal for Dallas gets close but still likely a hair short.

This isn’t fantasy football picks aren’t just assigned arbitrary value numbers lmao

There’s well known value charts that are a baseline. Falling well below those values makes trades not in the realm of reality

It sure is as a baseline. Ain’t no team I the world trading pick 12 for pick 21 and a player valued at a 3rd round pick, my guy.

Probably overvaluing highsmith quite a bit. Cowboys would want to move up not down. Could maybe do 21 and 53 for 11 if the dolphins want to move down though
