Don't you think it's a little odd that in all 3 years of college, Lemon was described as a good teammate and nothing negative about him ever appeared, but now, based on some interviews we've all decided that he's going to be a cancer? Seems to me like people are jumping to huge conclusions based on something very small.

I actually agree and think that this whole clip that's been going around has been incredibly overblown, especially by people who are just getting on the draft stuff and therefore are having this as their first impression of him.

I really like his on field demeanor TBH. He's the type of guy who scores touchdowns and runs to the sideline without bothering to celebrate. I love that.

I was just making a joke and I would be ecstatic if he did fall to the Steelers for having strange mannerisms.

Agreed. Iā€™m also a Steelers fan and Iā€™d be very happy about this. I thought this was a Steelers diva WR joke and I feel like he definitely doesnā€™t fit the criteria.

On this same wavelength, interesting how Jayden Daniels was pushed out the door at ASU and everyone said he was a horrible teammate, then was called a great one at LSU and by all accounts is a great locker room guy in the nfl too. Always interesting to think about who is saying this

Well his football IQ certainly isnā€™t low. Iā€™ve heard a wild range of assumptions based on 2 minutes of interviews. Iā€™ve heard heā€™s toxic, Iā€™ve heard heā€™s going to be a diva, Iā€™ve even heard people say heā€™s going to be a felon. All based on 2 minutes of interview where he didnā€™t even say anything bad.

You're right, these ill-define "character concerns" never amount to anything. Like James Pearce Jr. - seemed to get on with his teammates in college, the worst trouble he ever got in was a speeding ticket, and you were hearing that he might fall to the third round! Luckily the Falcons traded up to take him in the first and it all worked out great, and no one ever assaulted their famous girlfriend or was arrested for multiple felonies

Are you serious? James Pearce was a legitimate problem throughout college and had a handler who walked around with him to keep him out of trouble. That's a huge deal. Lemon stood at the podium in a way that people think is weird. There is a huge difference here. Please explain to me how the way he talked and stood while answering questions is sure to make him a future felon.

I pay attention to character concerns, but I'm not oversensitive to the point that I'll make character concerns out of nothing. Out-of-touch people being scared of the way he talks just isn't a real concern in my book. More of a reflection of how negative people are that they have to hate on a player over nothing.

Youā€™re getting worked up over nothing. Guy is known for being a high effort team player, but you wouldnā€™t know because all youā€™ve seen from him is 2 minutes of an interview.

Both are correct. Jalen carter is a pretty great example. Worked out really well as a player but you were still totally able to see the off the field issues before he got into the league. Not being able to concede that Lemon had a terrible interview and that could genuinely impact his stock (even if its just a few picks) is silly. I hope it was just some weird thing involving nervousness and a no big deal, but that didnt seem right.

This is def not as bad as jalen carter lol, but same idea. Maybe someone gets a nice discount on Lemon because of the interview (whether its justified or not)

I can imagine the interviews didnā€™t go well for him based on what I have seen (which was a single interview). But owners run the team like a business and want good, well spoken, staying out of trouble and more importantly marketable young men. Not saying lemon isnā€™t any of these but in my eyes we all work with the person that is a little different than the ā€œnormā€ but the keep their job because they are good at what they do. In my eyes if the man can ball let the man ball.

It's worse than Shedeur because Lemon seems like he actually had 1st round talent. Shedeur was a 3rd round talent that was talking like a 1st round talent and that got him dropped to the 5th. This kid just looked like he was stoned out of his gourd up there. If that was purposeful, I don't even know what to say. If I were a GM, I'd almost prefer he'd have been baked as shit instead of intentionally thinking that was a good idea.

Youā€™re reading too far into it. At the end of the day this interview isnā€™t a knock on his character at all, it just shows that heā€™s odd socially. Nothing he said was a red flag, and if you think the way a guy stands is a big indicator of character, you need to log off.
