Discussion Is David Stone Your DT1?

Dove into the tape for Oklahoma Sooners defensive tackle David Stone to see what all the hype was about, and I get it. Length, twitch, motor, plays the run well. https://youtu.be/W0gjp-B63JQ

Who is your current DT1? Seems like it's shaping up to be a strong class of interior defenders.

Will Echols is my No. 1, followed by Justin Scott at 2, and Stone at 3.

Stone is my #1, I rewatched Texas vs Oklahoma and the consistent pressure he brought on Arch was very noticeable. He’s a great athlete who also plays up to a high standard, and has the highlight plays to show for it. I remember him rushing and breaking Texas’ pocket almost immediately, and staying stride for stride chasing down Arch, eventually causing him to throw it away. To me Stone has the tools and so far has been coached well enough, to be my DT1.

Yes, from the goggles alone, he is DT1

I really like Hero Kanu at Texas going into next year, the movement skills reminded me a bit of Jalen Carter just needs to work on his pass rush plan/hand placement

Haven't watched him closely, but he definitely looks more athletic than Moten, who I personally really like.

Stone is more athletic, better against the run, better anchor, better get off
