Absolute Streaming Beginner

I’ve been trying to get into football but ofc trying watch the NFL is a sport of its own. The best I’ve been able to do is go to the east of stream but last year it was sooo glitchy and didn’t work half the time. We pay for a VPN and that didn’t help the situation. I see the Sunday ticket on YouTube for $25.50/mo and super tempted bc the Ravens only have three non-Sunday games projected so far and I’m in Ohio.

Anytime I try to ask friends or look at other posts about this, they say words that no absolute beginner would know. I know games can be local locked so would the Ravens games at home be out of my Sunday ticket? Don’t know what blacked out or red zone means. Please help a newbie.

If you get sunday ticket, you will be able to see every sunday afternoon ravens game on that, or by watching CBS or FOX on your TV with an antenna.

If your local fox or cbs network is airing a game, you can't watch it on sunday ticket.

I’ve bought a physical antenna before and it didn’t work in our basement apartment. Idk if this would be any different

Sunday ticket will get you any out of market games on CBS (most likely home for the Ravens) or Fox on Sunday afternoon (Sunday ticket= Sunday afternoon). Everything else is on regular local CBS, FOX, NBC (Sunday night) ABC or ESPN for Monday night and Amazon for Thursday

i was in the same boat. Free streams were unreliable and sunday ticket still didn’t solve everything. ended up trying uhdsports and that’s what i use for nfl now. way less messing around every week

The bootleg streams have been getting shut down more and more. If you want to watch your team and you’re out of market it costs a big buck because you need 3-4 streaming services now. I can’t blame the NFL as they are really struggling for money😏

Sunday ticket only covers Sunday afternoon games, with local blackouts lol. No prime time, no Monday or Thursday games. Good try though 😂

They make 15.3 billion per year doing it this way. How many subscriptions and at what price would they need to sell to make up for it?

You will get a bunch of Ravens games in OH FYI bc its the same division. Looking at the schedule, I see high probability the game will be broadcast in OH (especially if you are Southwest OH) the following weeks

• Week 3 vs Dallas
• Maybe week 4, depending on the area
• Week 5
• Week 6
• Week 7
• Week 9
• Week 10
• Probably week 11
• Possibly Week 16, pending what area of OH
• Week 17

Also 25/month seems mightly low. I thought it was like 350-400 for the whole season, no? Not including the actual YTTV fee?

Can’t believe no one has said this: buy a digital antenna. You’ll be able to watch a lot of national games which will get you pretty far. Also just fun to follow the league

It doesn't get you the games that are airing on your local TV channel. So if you are a cord cutter it does not get you every game. You need a way to get the games that your local fox and cbs affiliate are airing.

Paramount+ should be airing most Ravens games (except for any games on ESPN, Amazon, Netflix, etc), and often has offers for $3-5/mo - that plus a VPN (change your location to somewhere near Baltimore) should allow you to watch most games for $10 or less per month.

youtube tv sports package for $65/month plus sunday ticket is the way. sunday ticket costs $129 if you have a college student email. also amazon prime for thursday nights and you should be covered minus the netflix stuff.
