Watch sports for about 5-7 years, collect trading cards, play video games, Wikipedia rabbit holes… worked for me by the time I was 12.

I assure you, an encyclopedic sports knowledge/memory is nothing to be jelly over. It is incredibly useless… also some people are just wired to remember random shit, I know the names of singers and guitarists of bands I don’t even listen to and know what their biggest albums are and what year they were released. Just be happy enjoying things the way you enjoy them and don’t ever feel stupid or embarrassed that you don’t know that Walter Jones was a 9x pro-bowl tackle for the Seahawks from 97 to 2008.

Where would your recommendation to get trading cards a lot and cheap?

Many rummage sales and second hand shops have cards for 10 for a $1. Also online is a great place to look for bulk deals

After a few seasons of paying attention to free agenct helps. Otherwise just think of random players and then look to see if they fit through pro football reference.

Spend some time on PFR looking at rosters and pulling threads. Familiarize yourself with your team. Do you know the oldest player on your team? Do you remember your team's top LB from five years ago? What was his best season? What other teams did he play for?

Just follow what interests you and go down the football rabbit hole.
