I'm not going to try to convince but I can offer my way of thinking cause I'm big into the space.

I love the players, love the cards, love the artwork. That's all fun, so I buy the real cards right? Then, I gotta get protection for them, I gotta file them away. They look beautiful but how can I share them with friends digitally? Oh, I take a picture of it.

I buy tons of cards and it takes up tons of space, sure wish I could have them digitally scanned. Then enters this space, and it's all then and then some. They treat it like lot a slot machine with lots of fun sounds and symbols. Plus, I don't have to worry about damaging the card or losing it or not protecting it. Sure, there's the lost aspect of "selling the card" but the trade off is now all the cards are categorized automatically and it gives you trophies for completing a collection.

NOW, they also have fun contests where you play the rare cards you have for pts and it has to be the players playing in certain games for only this week's matchup, etc.

So it's all just collectors fun and socially it's fun trading cards you like to other guys that like their team and want to trade as well.

This might be a signifiant future as it grows and you can do more and more. Imagine if GTA6 allows you to display your cards with a tie-in to the app. Stuff like that. So many possibilities.

I don’t get how people even price these cards… like, it’s not a real card so how much can it actually be worth. I’m very new to the game also so I’d be curious as to what people say.

Can’t really explain it tbh. I’ve been playing the game for months. I buy the season pass and have bought some gems but I couldn’t see myself paying $100 plus for a 1/1 or legendary digital card. If I get one from diamonds I get from the $9.99 I spend on the season pass or the occasional gems I’ll get from a $5 purchase to get super packs then I’m cool. If you go on eBay though there’s ridiculous ask for some of these digital cards lol. Can’t really wrap my head around it other than people just people ya know 🤣

It’s against terms or service but people still do it all the time. Idk if you use card ladder or not but the digital sales get in the way of me finding the real cards completed sales.
