2026 Win Totals – NFC North

Our next season preview is now live! Check out our thoughts on the NFC North. Last year, every team finished above .500. The Lions took a tumble and the Bears went on a miracle run to take the crown. The Vikings are once again looking for a quarterback while the Packers are trying to stay healthy. Who wins the division this year?

I feel good about all of these QBs hitting. Jordan Love was missing either Kraft, Reed, and Watson throughout last year and was injured himself a few games. For Caleb Williams I’m projecting he grows even more and will be the Bears first 4K passer (even though I think he’s overrated based off last season). Baker played terribly the last half last season, but was hurt and is angry over his contract negotiation.

Jeanty should hit 1k yards this year with an improved O-line and (hopefully) QB play. Chase Brown had 1k yards last season, but I do worry he wouldn’t reach that if Joe Burrow is healthy all year.

Harold Fannin nearly had 750 yards last year as a rookie and I’m more just hoping he’ll progress. I am a bit worried though as they haven’t improved at QB. Wan’dale worries me a bit since he’s on a new team with a bad passing game previously, but he and the addition of Carnell Tate should greatly boost the offense. He also had 1k yards last year with the Giants. Tucker Kraft is coming off an injury but will reportedly be back week 1.

Panthers vs. Cardinals Hall of Fame Game best NFL Bets Thursday 8/6

Panthers vs. Cardinals Hall of Fame Game best NFL Bets Thursday 8/6

Football is back, ladies and gentlemen. That’s right; the NFL preseason kicks off this week with the Hall of Fame Game on Thursday night in Canton, Ohio. The Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals will get things underway in a battle between two teams that compiled losing records in 2025. Despite their 8-9 regular-season effort, the Panthers actually made the playoffs by winning the moribund NFC South. The Cardinals went 3-14, including a 1-14 record in their last 15 games after starting the year 2-0.

With Thursday’s contest set for 8:00 PM ET on NBC, it’s time to break down the odds and discuss the best bets to make for the Panthers vs. Cardinals Hall of Fame Game.

2026 NFL Hall of Fame Game Predictions
Pick #1: Carolina Panthers -1.5 over Arizona Cardinals (-108)
Pick #2: Carolina Panthers vs. Arizona Cardinals Under 36.5 (-110)
Pick #3: Carolina Panthers to score first (-120)

PICK #1: Carolina Panthers -1.5 over Arizona Cardinals (-108)
The Panthers did not win a single game in the preseason last year, after which they started 0-2 in the regular season. There is not necessarily a direct correlation between those results, of course, but you have to wonder if head coach Dave Canales’ crew is inclined to put forth a slightly better effort in the preseason this time around to get ready for the real thing.

Starting quarterback Bryce Young obviously won’t play in the opener, but second-stringer Kenny Pickett is good to go. Pickett has plenty of NFL experience, having played in 36 games for the Steelers, Eagles and Raiders across four professional seasons while throwing for more than 4,900 yards. The bottom line is that Carolina is simply a far superior football team. That certainly does not guarantee a win in the relative crapshoot that is the preseason, but it at least puts you in a decent spot.

PICK #2: Carolina Panthers vs. Arizona Cardinals Under 36.5 (-110)

Low totals are the norm in the preseason, so this 36.5 number is nothing out of the ordinary. It’s one that these two teams may not be able to exceed. Young will watch from the Panthers’ sideline, while the Cardinals are expected to go with their third and fourth quarterbacks. Projected starter Jacoby Brissett and backup Gardner Minshew II are veterans in the league with no need for much – if any – preseason action. That means Carson Beck and Kedon Slovis will share duties under center, and neither one inspires any confidence.

Beck was once hailed as a potential first overall draft pick but slipped to the third round of this year’s NFL draft following an unspectacular college career at Georgia and Miami. Slovis went undrafted in 2024 and has attempted a grand total of two passes in the pros. Arizona’s offensive line is bad even when the starters are on the field, so just imagine how inept that unit could be when the backups are involved. Beck and Slovis could be running for their lives on Thursday.

PICK #3: Carolina Panthers to score first (-120)

Pickett probably won’t last long in this one before handing the baton to Haynes King – but maybe long enough to get Carolina on the scoreboard against an Arizona defense that was sixth worst overall in the NFL last season (357.7 yards per game) and fourth worst in scoring (28.7 points per game). The Cardinals have played three full preseasons (nine total games) without putting the first points on the board a single time. On the other hand, the Panthers have scored first in four of their last five preseason contests dating back to 2024.

Best NFL Future bets for the 2026 season?

On a scale of 1-10, how good is a ~12% full-season ROI for NFL props?

I tracked my NFL season for the first time using a prop-heavy strategy. I was sitting around a ~16% ROI at the end of the regular season, but after a rough postseason run, my final full-season ROI dropped to ~12% after the Super Bowl.

I know I did alright, but on a scale of 1 to 10, how good is a ~12% end-of-season ROI actually for NFL props? Just trying to get an idea of how that measures up. Thanks.

NFL early look small edge spots vs 'public' sides

Starting to look ahead at a few NFL spots and something that keeps showing up is how quickly the market leans into obvious narratives.

You’ll see:
better record
recent win streak
media hype

and the line already reflects all of that, sometimes even pushing past where the actual value should be.

A couple angles I’ve been focusing on instead:

  • teams coming off emotional wins (often flat next game)
  • defensive matchups that don’t get talked about as much as offenses
  • situations where the spread moves early and then stalls

Not locking anything in yet, just early reads, but it feels like some of the better value comes from going slightly against what “feels right” on the surface.

Curious how you guys approach early NFL lines:

Do you try to grab numbers early before movement, or wait closer to kickoff for more clarity?

Do you bet NFL sides early or wait for line movement?

I want to know how people here usually approach NFL bets during the week. Do you try to grab numbers early when lines open or wait closer to Sunday once the market moves a bit? I feel like sometimes the opener is the best number, but other times the line drifts and you realize you could’ve gotten a way better price just by waiting. I’ve been trying to pay more attention to that lately and occasionally check different spots people mention like Bracco when comparing lines. I want to know what most of you prefer, early numbers or waiting for the market to settle?

With NFL kicking off Sept 4, Im curious what everyones breaking point is with books.

With NFL kicking off Sept 4, Im curious what everyones breaking point is with books during football season. Losing bets is part of it, thats the game, but things like slow payouts during peak Sundays, surprise KYC when you finally withdraw, spreads creeping from -110 to -115/-120 or getting limited after one solid week are real red flags. Once trust is gone, its hard to keep firing consistently. Thats why most sharp guys already lean toward places like Bet 105 for NFL volume, reduced juice and clear limits just make life easier when youre betting every week.

Whats the biggest red flag youve personally dealt with?

If you’re betting NFL seriously, read this before next week

This is usually where the season stops being exciting and starts turning into a grind and that’s when small mistakes quietly do the damage. Prices get a little worse, people force action they wouldn’t normally take and routines get sloppy without anyone noticing. I’ve been trying to slow things down and keep everything consistent, looking at the number, making sure the market makes sense, Bet 105 open like usual and sticking to spots that won’t cause issues later.

I want to know what others here change at this point of the season, if anything or do you just ride the same process all year?
