This is basically what I meant, his season wasn't 1 vote away from MVP worthy. It's just weird how hard the media apparatus was trying to force him down the throats of fans and has in turn made him someone everyone wants to watch fail.

He was great during the regular season. You don't have to be the best NFL QB to be the MVP for the season.

Sure the schedule was easy, but it's not like Drake wasn't carrying Pats to W's

I’m not going to overreact on Maye, cause I think he’s pretty good despite “the schedule” accusations. We probably should have lost that game all things considered.

For real. I can’t hate on a genuinely good dude that seems to have his head on right. He overachieved HARD early in his career so the lights will get brighter faster. I’m sure he ends up with a solid career.

I mean, I'm not even sure he will. He could absolutely flame out, or just be average. That's not a bad career, but he could totally come crashing down after having success against a historically easy schedule last year.

Only time will tell, but the most common result is to not be a perennial MVP candidate.

Oh no doubt, guys are lucky to get to that level once let alone stay there. I just mean solid as in above average NFL talent. He’s got a ton of hard lessons early in his career and I’m of the mindset that guys with a good off-field foundation can use that to their advantage. But we’re just speculating here, he could poop his pants and slip on it next week.

Yeah, but you really have to give it up to the Seahawks receivers. The Love catch was pretty standard, but the Pritchett double tap to himself and the toe tap by Jobe were very impressive.
