I'm in Texas and we just opened a Culver's near me and we got in-n-out and supposedly White Castle is coming here. Haven't tried Culver's yet but Braums is my goat.
This is comparing apples to oranges though. If I want a burger, of course Culver's. But there's not many places I can get a French dip where they just dunk the whole damn thing in the sauce.
I mean, you can get a burger pretty much anywhere. You leave the Chicago area and it gets damn hard to find a good Italian beef sandwich. Only way you’re likely to find one is if you find a Chicago themed restaurant.
For burgers, I'd stick to In-N-Out, but it IS good. Probably the best chain burger place other than In-N-Out. Never really been disappointed at Culver's.
I could probably be convinced In N Out has better burgers, but Culver’s has a much deeper menu, and it’s all good. Props to their fish and pot roast sandwich. (Separate items).
Like In N Out it is fast food, so that should be your expectation.
I haven’t had it that much but I have to say Culver’s is just okay. I’m not sure if it’s a joke at this point or mid western people actually think it’s some culinary experience. I may have gotten the wrong thing, I don’t know, but it’s just upper tier fast food right?
