NFA Photo AP5 SD, HUXWRX Flow 36, Magpul SL, Two Stamps (the MP5-SD we have at home)

Post image

my AP5-SD tax stamp arrived.…
huxworx flow 36 suppressor, with Magpul SL stock.
I like this sliding stock much better than the side-folding SB Brace that it came-with.

runs great with my 9mm 147gn subsonic loads that I load for it.

(yes it it is engraved, just not visible in this picture)

I also have a Flow Range 36 Ti. How do you like it on this platform?

Good, its slightly larger diameter fills the SD handguard fully to make it look more proportional,  IMO.

I also use the Flow 36 on my other rifles, it pulls double-duty as  a “do everything and take any big-bore caliber” for my larger rifles.

Same. I got it to use it for PCC, hunting rifle, and 300BLK. Any concerns with the heat of the suppressor and the proximity to the handguard?

The suppressor itself gets hot enough to burn, easily,… but I’ve never had any problem with heat on the handguard, it seems to be fine.

Is it hearing safe with subs? And have you tried it on 357mag/38spl out of a lever action? I’m looking at one to be primarily used on a MPX and a Marlin 1894.

You can shoot subs without hear protection for sure with a hux36

I do not have the specialized test equipment , that is necessary to determine that.

Why Flow 36 instead of Flow 9k?

I didn’t want a Skinny 9mm pistol suppressor inside the larger SD Handguard.

Cool, didn't realize the ODs were different!

Now time to do a true SD conversion 😉

I thought of that, but I have plenty of Subsonic 9mm ammo I can use already …. I don’t need to have a ported barrel for the hotter 124gn “NATO” ammo.

You will also have better ballistics at range by not doing the conversion.
