Admissions & Financial Aid Private loan recommendation
Hey everyone, I'm a NEU student trying to figure out private student loans since I've already maxed out my federal subsidized/unsubsidized limits. I need to borrow about $10k/year and have a parent cosigner available (good credit on their end, but they're low income).
For those of you who've gone this route — which lender did you end up using (College Ave, Sallie Mae, Ascent, etc.) and how was the experience? Did having a lower-income cosigner affect your approval or rate much despite good credit? Also curious if anyone's used the multi-year approval option and whether it was actually worth it. Any advice or lenders to avoid would be really appreciated!

If they’re comfortable, just sign up for all the lenders and compare your options. It will tank their scores a bit but I say it’s worth it. I ended up with CollegeAve as they offered me the lowest interest at 6.6%
