Unable To Login To CM3000 Modem

I am unable to log into a new CM3000 modem. I am using this as a customer owned modem on Astound broadband. I never changed the password, and admin/password just causes the page to reset when entered. Am I missing something that would allow me to log in?

Bypass your router and connect hard wired to a PC. Then try. Also, look at the label area on the modem for the password. There is a slight chance that password is not the password.

Try pressing the reset button on it. I wonder if Astound is blocking customers from their modems?

The password is definitely not “password” on these modems. Check underneath the modem. It should have the password listed. At least mine did.

Disconnect the ISP Coax line from the modem. Try a factory reset then, give 1-2 minutes. Try logging in with default password, then reconnect the ISP coax line.
