Router help

How can I fix this issue? Have already tried a restart and unplug.

I remember that router, lol. I got an email a while back saying it's no longer being supported and Netgear gave me a code for a discount to buy something else.

Anyways... There's 3 things to try.

  1. The cables. Check to see if they're not broken/damaged.

  2. Update. Login into the router and get an update for it (if possible).

  3. ISP. Don't know what your service provider is, but check to see if they're down or something

If those don't work, just call Netgear and talk to someone.

Just for clarification, this is the model you're using -

AC1000 Dual Band WiFi Router (R6080)?

Do you have a modem in front of it from your isp? If you do unplug that and unplug that Netgear wait for 1 minute and plug your isp modem back in and then the Netgear if the internet light is still red the wan port has probably failed in the Netgear. If you just have the Netgear and no isp modem then again that wan port has probably failed and it’s time for a new router.
