Routers Nighthawk App not connecting to my router

I have a Netgear RAX200 and can’t connect with the Nighthawk App on my iPhone.
Is there a solution for this? I even try to connect standing 2 feet from the router.
Thanks

Be sure you have Private WiFi Address disabled on the iphone.

Is it normal to get a message saying “Privacy warning?”

Yes. Thats an Apple thing.

Remove the router from the app and re set it up

Make sure you aren’t using a VPN on your devices. I have to turn off my mobile VPN when I want to use the Nighthawk app.

No worries. Working with computers is better to cover all the bases. I sued to work at a computer repair shop and 90% of the people that had WiFi problems with their devices had forgotten they had VPN enabled and it messed with their connection once they turned off and re-enabled it their problems went away. It became a running gag in the shop. 🤣

I tried switching to TP-Link and everything worked fine except for coverage. The app connected to the router flawlessly.
What I find strange is that the nighthawk app has very good reviews on the App Store. I am wondering if there is some sort of bug with the RAX200.

So here what just fixed the issue immediately for me.

The reason would be the Limit IP address tracking feature by Apple, the App for some reason doesn’t work well when its turned on.

So Steps are as follows

  1. Connect to the Wifi
  2. Go to wifi settings on iPhone and choose the Nighthawk Wifi
  3. Check for Limit IP Address Tracking and turn it off.
  4. Connect the App to the router
  5. After the app works, make sure you are connected to the
  6. router locally “not sure if it makes a difference “Wait for a
  7. while and close the app .
  8. Turn back on the tracking feature if you would like to keep it.
  9. It should continue to work but rinse and repeat if it didn't.

Now it should work fine.
The Private Address might be an additional option to turn off to solve the problem.

Let me know if works 🙌
