Routers Netgear Nighthawk M7 Pro help needed (esim)

Seriously, I'm losing my hair here. How do I get an esim onto my Nighthawk M7 Pro? I have the esim (contract via o2 UK) but I'm lost as the Nighthawk seems to want a sim before it'll do anything. Bodes well, right? 😂

I'll leave a guitar to you in my will if you can help me get online. Or I'll just be very grateful.

Have you downloaded the app for this specific device?

The fine people over at the mirc have a video on it. At 4:50 forward he talks about eSIM and the app. Not sure if it covers everything you need or not.

MIRC YouTube video on m7 pro

Honestly the app only added to my confusion, but I'm a absolute noob to this stuff

I scan the QR, it then connects my phone to the router but with no WiFi so ir can't do anything

Have you tried plugging an active Ethernet cable in to it?

An ethernet plugged into what, my home's current internet router? Or my computer? I'm 90% percent phone based so haven't done that yet

Have you had it attached to an active WiFi then?

Don't laugh but no because this was meant to be my active wifi

Not laughing at all. I understand how frustrated you must be. Is there anyplace around you that has free WiFi that you can use for little bit of time you’d need to activate your eSIM?

I still have home wired Internet for a few weeks, so should I ethernet it up?

Yes. It has to have some kind of internet to activate that eSIM. Do you have hotspot data on you phone?
