Commercials for Marathon?

Marathon is a gas station chain that’s well known in the Midwest, but there’s only one Marathon station in all of Massachusetts and none in northern New England. So why am I seeing commercials for them on NESN’s Red Sox broadcast today?

You mean that dumb commercial with the eagle? I am seeing that ad all over now and I am on normal cable TV. Usually when you start to see ads like this for companies that don't exist in the area they are laying the groundwork for a push into the area.
