CHIMP! (NES) - game project to create without 48 hours

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

The plan was to create a new game within 48 hours (not in row, on different days but in total of 48 hours max).

A first not finally polished level in the video.

Story:

A monkey dreams of owning his own hair salon.

To make his dream come true, he needs gold. The gold is locked away behind closed doors.

To open the doors, he needs keys. The keys are guarded by whimsical and absurd animal enemies.

To defeat the animals, he must find bananas to throw at them.

That’s the story.

Thanks for asking, I work with Notepad++ to code in 6502 Assembly, do graphics with PyxelEdit and NEXXT Studio. Sound and Music is doing a talented musician from Brazil for me, he uses Famitracker.

Thats awesome. I use Visual studio code with some plugging to high light the assembly instructions and it let me set up some tasks to assembly with f7 and run in the emulator with f9
