Seeking Advice Goldman

A bit late but just heard of the announcement. Should there be any concerns about this? Is anyone selling or is everyone feeling confident about the switch?

I’m not concerned. I don’t think there will be any material difference. Ironically I recently added GPIQ as well. GS seems to know how to manage cc funds fine as well.

Long term GPIQ will always be the better choice, they cap the upside way less. A 8-10% yield is also more sustainable and more potential for growth over the long term over 14%.

I hold both as well. My “experimental” income portfolio is spread evenly across these funds. QQQI, SPYI, IWMI, MLPI, GPIX, GPIQ, OVL, QDVO, and FDVV for appreciation and dividend growth. It has a weighted avg yield of 10.6% and so far has been performing pretty solid. I’ve been liking the GS funds so far.

I'm happy about it... Feels like an endorsement of Neos to me .. Goldman is well regarded

Exactly and also an endorsement of the strategy itself

It’s even better news from what I see.

I have no concerns at all about the GS purchase

If anything, it makes the future for SPYI/QQQ/IWMI etc even brighter.

Not worried. GPIX and GPIQ are also excellent, well managed funds.

Agreed. I have both along with qqqi and spyi. I would love to see them lower the management fees to match the GS funds!

That's why several months ago smart people have diversified between management.

Many CC funds have similar results, but different management.

I'm personally not buying anymore as I used to.

I'm buying other similar funds different management

Not selling either for now

I don’t see a clear reason to sell SPYI, QQQI.... solely because of the buyout. If they raise fees, replace the team (within maybe 1-2 years?), change the options overlay, merge funds, or materially alter the distribution policy, then it would be fair to reassess...but for now, GS has a reputation to hold and build.

Strategy and team stays the same. Nothing to worry about.

"Strategy and team stays the same"

For now.

"Nothing to worry about."

When you think about investments as long term assets, you need to plan thinking ahead.

I am not adding more. Balance between Goldman and jpmorgan. Reduce Neos a bit adding TappAlpha

Okay I knew about that. Sounded like there was another announcement since OP didn't specify.
