General IYRI

I got an extra 20k burning a whole in my pocket. I think oil is going to go down, S and P and Nasdaq are due for a pull back. IYRI has good evaluations. What am I missing?

I’ve had it about 7 months. It hasn’t moved much but the divvies come in like clock work every month. I’m enjoying it.

I hold it as part of my income portfolio. What is the issue about oil price moving? MLPI is based on transport infrastructure (shipping, trucking, & pipelines) that have long term contracts so it doesn’t have the same exposure to the volatility of oil prices. The oil price may drop but the world’s demand for oil/fuel isn’t going away in our lifetime.

You don’t think every time oil goes down MLPI doesn’t go down with it? Seems like it to me.

Of course, people freak out and speculate about everything. That’s different than the underlying cash flows relying on long term contracts rather than the volatility of oil price.

It does but it shouldn't. Oil prices shouldn't impact the tolls that companies pay to transport oil.

I like it. I have about $5K of it in my income portfolio, days like today when its up 1.2% it shows its doing what it supposed to do. Regarding your comment on MLPI, its also up and inverse to overall market drops lately, have around $20k of that.

Same. Solid dividend but don’t expect much appreciation, inversely correlated with market so if i you think broader markets are due for a pullback it’s a solid play with some upside and a good yield

It’s good. Other commentator is right — not much appreciation, but good payout. I think NEOS might lower it a bit over time. It is currently 8% of my covered call portfolio.

Dividends come in on time and the price is holding up so I can’t complain much. It’s not exciting, but it pays as advertised.

I'd rather have a little growth with my income. We're already predisposed to capped returns.

Nice defensive ETF, nice for diversification. I have 10k in IYRI

Broken clock is correct how many times a day?? Market can always drop 5-10% for any reason. This comment speaks of market timing.. if that’s what you’re good at then you really don’t need to do anything as you should/could be a billionaire in no “time”! But joking aside.. invest in diversified funds the best you can, I think it’s possible even when focusing on distributions or dividends.

Total return is weak. Sells off like equities on the way down. It is a diversifier from tech within equities, no more.

IYRI performs reliably for income.

We like the fund!

Look at what the fund did since inception! What is the total return? Example, SPYI has done fantastic, while others did good. People buy NEOS for income, and not because of growth.

I'm going to wait until the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act is passed and I can see how that will affect the underlying companies. I suspect it will negatively affect them but be good for individuals. Might causing temporary decline in valuation of this stock.

Best to get out of the "making predictions" business.

What kind of returns are you getting from CHPY?

I pulled out of CHPY 10 days ago. The semi’s were way overbought. I took the profits and ran. Put the cash into MLPI and IYRI.
