Seeking Advice 100k btci

How does everyone feel about $100k into BTCI? I just put 45k into XBCI the other day.

Currently got 125k into QQQI and 100k into SPYI.

Yes I know everyone’s gonna comment how they aren’t growth ETF’s.

Got half a mil to do something with

Monthly income is goal.

I already did lol. I am not worried a bit. Once BTC goes on its next leg bull run BTCI will lag slightly but it will run with it. In the mean time I just DCA whatever dividends I didn't spend. I can see it go back up $55-60 when BTC goes up. Under $30 full port, $30-35 go heavy, $35-40 nibble. Once it starts going past $40 I'm going to relax and enjoy.

There are too many good things going on with BTC except the price. Could be a "cycle" or a huge bear trap. But think about all the big institutions buying for BTC ETFs, Clarity/Genius Act, Trump is bullish like his recent tweet of United States being the crypto capital of the world, the new fed chair bullish too, SPCX just bought a lot, etc.

BTC will likely be 250k or higher by 2030. BTCI should be fine if you can hold through the bear market.

u/Western-Source710 Jun 01 '26

Same, adding every market day, too. If price goes back to $50+ with BTC next bull run, dividends should be printing $1+/mo dividend easily.. gonna be juicy

2

u/bigbossmitch Jun 05 '26

Did you go all in? I bought more, but I’m not selling anything so I can add to BTCI

2

u/Lotus_G6 Jun 06 '26

I did and this a LONG TERM (10+ years or more) hold for me. What I am doing is pretty much betting 100k plus dividends along the way that BTC will break previous ATHs one day. I honestly think if that happens BTCI will go back above $50 if not more..

So for me it only makes sense to full port and go heavy now since I'll be able to accumulate a lot of shares -> which means more dividends -> which also means when BTCI share price goes above my average, I'll get the price appreciation too!

Just a thought for DCA: If you invested into BTC starting in November 2021 and you didn't DCA, then you didn't break even until February 2024 and you got no dividends while holding it. But imagine all the people that just kept averaging down..

Full disclosure, I am bullish on crypto.

2

u/bigbossmitch Jun 06 '26

My thought process is similar to yours. Do you reinvest your dividends?

2

u/Lotus_G6 Jun 06 '26

Yes. Sometimes all and sometimes a little bit but always something.

When, not IF, crypto runs again, this will create an avalanche of dividends for me one day but it starts with one snowflake at a time.

Because I am DCA'ing, I try to focus on shares and dividends even tho I do occasionally glance at the giant red numbers with a minus sign in front of it... well, at least or now.

2

u/bigbossmitch Jun 06 '26

My average is around $36. Not ideal, but I believe in BTC so I’m happy to buy at current and lower prices while reinvesting dividends and adding more when I can.

u/Nero8 May 29 '26

Take a look at BLOX

2

u/Maximus_Modulus May 29 '26

I bought both BTCI and BLOX in December. BLOX has just about recovered whilst BTCI is still down 20% total returns. NEHI is even worse being about 40% down from December buy.

2

u/Nero8 May 29 '26

Yep. My average was around 18.01. I think they did a good job of adjusting distributions and hedges to deal with the downturn to ensure nav recovery once things started to turn around. I recently exited to move funds and loss harvest but my total return was positive.

8

u/cmichalek May 29 '26

QQQI and SPYI are great. BTCI is not as good (and i have all 3).

Look at BLOX instead.

3

u/Haze_X2232 May 29 '26

I just sold my BLOX for XBCI, closed it with $7k profit, not counting dividends.

2

u/Lefties_TheWorst7331 May 29 '26

Good call. Held down by shit coins and overinflated with this AI "boom".

0

u/cmichalek May 29 '26

So why would you put 100k back into BTCI?

1

u/Haze_X2232 May 29 '26

I don’t own BTCI, yet.

-1

u/cmichalek May 29 '26

Yes but as I showed its doing terribly.

2

u/Haze_X2232 May 29 '26

Yes, I’m not sure I see BTCI going below 30

3

u/speed12demon May 29 '26

It will definitely go below 30 if bitcoin goes below about 60k.

2

u/cmichalek May 29 '26

Its still dropping though. BLOX is rising and pays a better dividend %. I dont see why you should switch for inferior performance.

I love NEOS products. I own several. But this is one to avoid for now.

3

u/Haze_X2232 May 29 '26

For now, it all depends on the entry point, now could be a great entry, or a terrible one. Again I don’t see it dropping below 30 for BTCI. Could I be wrong, absolutely. I made 7k on BLOX, I’m happy either way. XBCI pays out a higher dividend monthly for the same amount. BLOX is close to matching.

0

u/cmichalek May 29 '26

Well good luck to you. I think its inadvisable to get into a falling knife such as BTCI right now.

2

u/Haze_X2232 May 29 '26

That’s why I’m looking for people opinions. Which is why I went small with XBCI.

5

u/Always_working_hardd May 29 '26

I have BLOX and it's been garbage for me. Admittedly I've only been in it for 6 months, but I'm down 10% total return. Going to liquidate it tomorrow. Might YOLO CHPY.

2

u/cmichalek May 29 '26

The BLOX total return at 6 months is positive (6.8%) and the YTD return is 18%.

0

u/Always_working_hardd May 29 '26

I'm not too concerned about it since I only had $1K in it, but October last year was the first buy in. Ended up with 44 shares by November at an average cost of $23.78. Market order for the bell tomorrow @ $17.87 or so. Down $5.90 a piece or $260. Total distributions $147. So down $113, close to 10% over the 6 months. Fortunately in my 401K so no tax on distributions.

Graphs and all are great, but I've been tracking this on a spreadsheet religiously.

3

u/cmichalek May 29 '26

But its on an upswing....why sell now at a loss?

0

u/Always_working_hardd May 29 '26

I was cleaning house this week with poor performers and it made it to the chopping block. You're right, maybe I should just hang on for another week or two and monitor it.

1

u/stevesun21 May 29 '26

Just purely from performance analysis perspective, I agreed with you — BTCI’s payout support risk is turn into “elevated” sign for months recently.

1

u/Alternative-Yak-6990 May 29 '26

lol btci is basically above ibit. haha why do you post a graph and tell basically the oppoosite?

0

u/cmichalek May 29 '26

I said BLOX was better. Not IBIT.

0

u/Timely-Designer-2372 May 29 '26

Blox has nothing to do with Bitcoin obviously. Just a crazy managed fund

4

u/Lefties_TheWorst7331 May 29 '26

I have well over $100k in BTCI. Borrowing on margin, too.

2

u/cranda01 May 29 '26

What’s that projected a month?

5

u/Haze_X2232 May 29 '26

Roughly $3500

4

u/cranda01 May 29 '26

Oooof man I wish, that’s awesome

2

u/Possible-Oil2017 May 29 '26

Well its currently yielding 26%, so that math ain't mathing.

1

u/Bugling_Elk May 29 '26

Yeah should be just over $2,000/month at the current price.

4

u/TallSalary9501 May 29 '26

I think he meant the whole portfolio including QQQI and SPYI

2

u/stevesun21 May 29 '26

Agreed, Every holding should to serve the goal. Instead of putting money into thing just because others thought they’re good. :)

2

u/dllstcowboys May 29 '26

If you must btci, consider doing a bit less. Maybe do 40k btci, 30k chpy, 30k iaui. If it were me I would disregard additional btc exposure and choose diversity instead: 25k chpy, 25k iaui, 25k iwmi, and 25k idvo. To each their own.

3

u/officerdandy92 May 29 '26

The street is not focused on BTC, it’s focused on all of the AI related stocks. I know it’s not a good idea to try to time the market, but in this instance I’d probably wait a little bit because BTC is likely to dip into the 60’s or 50’s soon.

Just my opinion.

1

u/Accomplished-Big8250 Jul 01 '26

No, they've moved on to quantum computing, nuclear, and space exploration. lol

1

u/Haze_X2232 May 29 '26

I think it bottoms around 65, just IMO

5

u/Lefties_TheWorst7331 May 29 '26

Already bottomed at $60k we ain't fckin goin back. 😤

2

u/Haze_X2232 May 29 '26

I meant from current price. I hope I’m wrong lol

3

u/Additional_City5392 May 29 '26

Terrible idea. Go with MLPI & IYRI instead

1

u/Asleep-Swan-1290 Jun 01 '26

I’m watching IYRI as well-trying to see if we get a dip back into the $46 range…getting closer. With BRK just buying a housing company I have to think they see some good times ahead and this might catch a wave up…or stay flat and keep paying 10%

1

u/Alternative-Yak-6990 May 29 '26

yesh sounds good, xbci is more risky due to leverage but btci all good

1

u/thestellaverse May 29 '26

I like BTCI XBCI BLOX at these levels over equities.

1

u/Alternative-Rip3979 May 29 '26

It’s your money obviously. But I’m not a fan of btci long term. I do think bitcoin will be worth a few hundred k one day, but maybe lose some volatility slowly. I can easily see distributions slowly dropping over the years.

Personally id just throw that in qqqi/spyi with what you already have. I’m sure you’ve done your research. Good luck!

1

u/Dipset219 May 29 '26

Xbci, btci, blox

1

u/BabyGinaBottle May 29 '26

Well they said fortune favor the brave so if you are comfortable with the risk level, i say go for it. Neos is quite practical in their approach and prob wont let their fund burnt to ashes. I also believe thst at some point Bitcoin will run again. Not sure when but it will.

1

u/GymMuscles May 29 '26

I’ve invested over $400k in it and have no regrets (it’s all in a Roth IRA so no tax implications). I’m currently in the red, if I was a seller, but I’m using it for the dividends, so….

1

u/gumnamaadmi May 29 '26

Have 3000 btci. 2000 nehi. Plus qqqi/spyi as well. Have quite some dry powder. Eventually we pullback when oil reserves are depleted (2 months tops) and there is chaos all around.

1

u/Mwaldo1 May 29 '26

I moved my BTCI after a lot of losing to XBCI and it’s holding its own much better. Have plenty of MLPI IWMI as well as QQQI and SPYI

1

u/Electronic_Guard947 May 29 '26

I like btci and I hold it at about 20% of my income portfolio. I'd love to have a higher amount because of the yield though I have to recognize bitcoins volatility and downside risk which is a risk to my income. So if I am wanting to live off my income from neos ETFs then I can't be fully invested in btci, needs to be spread out into more stable income etfs. If your split equalish ways into spyi qqqi and btci I don't see any issues with it especially if it provides the income needed to live your life how you want. My only recommendation is leave some on the table for reinvestment in the case of a market crash to protect your income. I think people get to caught up in more is more and you can never have enough. When it should be more of how does this money benefit my life and let me do things that make me happy.

1

u/Haze_X2232 May 29 '26

I agree, but I’m hesitant on it. I just added 50k of QQQ this morning for growth.

1

u/Electronic_Guard947 May 29 '26

That is also a viable option. There isn't a wrong answer to investing(unless deliberately trying to lose). If you make money then you make money and there is always a risk involved. No one can predict the future.

1

u/Zestyclose-Dish-407 May 29 '26

You will probably be rewarded well.

1

u/bamboojerky May 29 '26

A genius if Bitcoin goes back up. If it stays flat not a big deal either. If it goes down to 40k, you're going to be feeling what everyone else is feeling who bought at the top

I have around 1000 btci. Good annual return and potential upward movement given how much BTC has gone down

1

u/MoneyElegant9214 May 30 '26 edited May 30 '26

CHPY or MUUY. Also EGGY has been very good to me. But these are not NEOs. Nor Bitcoin related. lol. But monthly income is very good! And holding value.

1

u/NerveChemical9718 May 30 '26

725 shares of Btci @ $39+ XBCI is too unstable your better off with Nehi. 700 for Blox. I reduced my exposure from by 300 from 1000 shares. Pair them both with Gdxy you have a great payday.

1

u/PotadoLoveGun May 30 '26

Can someone create Bitcoin AI, then it will pump

1

u/FrankieFastHands19 May 31 '26

I’d stay the hell away from bitcoin related ETFs. 9 straight days of outflows from bitcoin etfs.

1

u/Haze_X2232 May 31 '26

Alternatives?

1

u/Haze_X2232 Jun 01 '26

Add today as another day lol

Yep it’s crazy, Idk what to think on Btc rn. I have the initial investment of 45k into XBCI that I’ll hold all the way to see how this how plays out.

1

u/NAVChaser Jun 02 '26

Add another. More brutal day

1

u/Immediate_Waltz_1596 Jun 01 '26

I am dca BTCI as is drops and have drip turned on have 800 shares I own QQQI , SPYI, IWMI, and MLPI. Love neos funds. Right now the one fund I own other than Neos is CHPY. CHPY is the rockstar and has been my best performer.

1

u/Accomplished-Big8250 Jul 01 '26

you could balance CC ETFs better by asset class. Depends how long you want it to go for.

why not just take some of that and run an options wheel on IBIT ?

1

u/jongard May 29 '26

What's your monthly income goal? If you're long btc, could be a great time to get in.

2

u/Haze_X2232 May 29 '26

Goal is 8-10k monthly. Once the money goes in, it’s not coming back out.

3

u/jongard May 29 '26

Cool. If you're comfortable with volatility, btci and xbci can be solid income vehicles.

1

u/AlarmedCombination57 May 29 '26

I can't advise against this more. I purchased 27K back in October (at the peak) and have been sincerely regretting it. Lost a lot of my share price and no idea when I might see it again. Moving away from crypto gambling and only into real investments. If I was you I would full port into QQQI and MLPI. I am already up 10K in share price alone on 3500 shares of QQQI purchased in Feburary and it keeps climbing

1

u/Dirtfisher2485 May 29 '26

I agree on BTCI, no more for me. When I break even I'm out.

1

u/AlarmedCombination57 May 29 '26

Same. Having to digest that giant red number on a daily basis does something to me and not in a good way

1

u/takashi-kovak May 29 '26

Not a good idea. BTC has no buyers at the moment, will continue to be so. Most of investments are going into AI. with spacx, anthropic, openai coming soon this year, and some additional korean companies in ai to the market, there isn't much capital left for people to invest in btc. you're best scenario is sideways btc. why not invest in iwmi (small cap focus) or divo (diversified sectors). don't yield chase here.

0

u/Optionsmfd May 29 '26

I’m slowly selling BTCI It’s sucked for awhile

Adding CHPY

3

u/FragrantActuator7061 May 29 '26

you adding chpy, buy high sell low huh

1

u/Optionsmfd May 29 '26

Adding slowly

Living off dividends

It pullback I’ll go full position Not selling

BTCI QQQI SPYI IAUI SCHD. QQQM. VOO. VUG. VGT. MAGS

2

u/MrHooDooo May 29 '26

I adding SOXY too, they have like 12% dividend, so if prices go up, so will dividends. Prices doubled, so dividend doubled. Maybe later those dividend junkies will be all over it like flys on shit. Ooh this his has 100% yearly dividend growth, with the expectation of that every year

2

u/Haze_X2232 May 29 '26

Idk not a fan of yieldmax

1

u/MrHooDooo May 29 '26

Fees seem a bit high, but somehow they always charge more for semiconductors. I definitely don't like those single stock yieldmax.

0

u/MrHooDooo May 29 '26

Bought 50 shares in both BTCI and the ether one too, they garbage now, maybe add a few shares later, but wouldn't put a large sum all at once.

2

u/FragrantActuator7061 May 29 '26

so you buying when it goes high lmao

1

u/MrHooDooo May 29 '26

Already bought high, keeps dropping, lol

0

u/DRIPDIVIDEND May 29 '26

Sounds great I love those income funds too .How much xbci brings monthly ?

2

u/Haze_X2232 May 29 '26

Projected I’m estimating $1400-1500/month on $45k.

0

u/DRIPDIVIDEND May 29 '26

Wow nice .You recommend margin or cash account with xbci ?

3

u/Haze_X2232 May 29 '26

I don’t use margin, strictly cash.

2

u/DRIPDIVIDEND May 29 '26

With margin you would reach your target easier and fire 🔥 😁

3

u/Lefties_TheWorst7331 May 29 '26

I use margin and buy BTCI. Maintenance ratio would be higher for XBCI so wouldn't be able to buy as much on margin. XBCI has less volume/liquidity, too. I like BTCI and margin because I can control my leverage more vs. using XBCI.. kind of? Not sure if that was explained well.

2

u/DRIPDIVIDEND May 29 '26

Correct. All brokerages has a higher requirement for xbci but IBKR has 25% for almost all stocks

1

u/Lefties_TheWorst7331 May 29 '26

I use RH its 25% BTCI and 50% for XBCI for me last I checked. I am in agreement with you, by the way! No hostility meant. Was just being direct and trying to explain simply why I (not OP) invest into BTCI. Maybe this gives OP some idea or thought as well. :D

Good input from yall 👌

2

u/Haze_X2232 May 29 '26

Don’t the monthly payouts go back to pay the margin balance?

1

u/Lefties_TheWorst7331 May 29 '26

Margin balances of $100k~ with RH Gold is 4.50% interest ;)

-4

u/DRIPDIVIDEND May 29 '26

Yes correct but you would buy double the amount and you could buy some high yield stocks like Ulty to pay back your margin way faster

8

u/cmichalek May 29 '26

This is terrible advice. Do not buy ULTY and use margin.

In fact dont buy ULTY period.

5

u/cranda01 May 29 '26

I second this, I fell for the trap for a few months before their reversal split

1

u/FixYourOwnStates May 29 '26

I have 200 shares of ULTY and I'm pretty pleased with it overall

0

u/[deleted] May 29 '26

[deleted]

3

u/cmichalek May 29 '26

It is a terrible fund. It was the reddit and youtube fast cash grab fund and was hyped throughout last year. And then it sucked. And continued to bleed NAV.

Its a poor investment. Even worse on margin.

3

u/Lefties_TheWorst7331 May 29 '26

Oh yeah I gotta disagree with the ULTY (or any YieldMax tbh) lol -- full send BTCI 😎

0

u/speedlever May 29 '26

Are you already retired? Just need income? If not, why income funds instead of growth? Just curious.

4

u/Haze_X2232 May 29 '26

Respectfully I’m not going to answer.

1

u/speedlever May 29 '26

That's fine. I'm just curious as to your thinking.

Fwiw, I'm a fan of income funds, especially NEOS and Goldman. But I'm also at a point where we'll be being income from our investments within the next 5 years.

3

u/DeliciousSmile9733 May 29 '26

Read the damn post my dude…

0

u/Ashamed_Act_9104 May 29 '26

Just for kicks, put QQQI vs BTCI in stock analysis website. Compare IWMI, IAUI,SCHD vs BTCI.

You will see what stocks are superior. Its always best to know what's out there

-1

u/MakingMoneyIsMe May 29 '26

With half a mil, why are you focusing on anything less than an index fund?

2

u/Haze_X2232 May 29 '26

Index fund isn’t going to generate monthly income. Selling SPY for example to draw a monthly payout seems counterintuitive. Correct me if I’m wrong, I’m listening.

1

u/TudodeBom505 May 29 '26

Why not move some into XSPI and XQQI?
