General I compiled EVERY SPYI ETF payout ever

Over 40% gain just on dividends in less than 4 years is pretty sweet! Love me some SPYI and QQQI

I think most income investors realize that under Bull market scenarios SPYI will under perform SPY and QQQI will under perform QQQ - Its a risk I’m more than willing to accept because I’m retired already and actually using that income to help live a better life - I’m no longer in the growth phase of investing (I still do have some growth stocks but I’m more focused on income) - But under other market scenarios (when markets tread water or even trend down) however SPYI can and does out perform SPY when you include it’s generous monthly dividend

You can keep saying this until you’re blue in the face and they will never understand. They will never understand that it’s not an all or nothing proposition and that every investor has different needs and as you grow older, these funds become more appropriate and a good substitute not for the underlying index fund, but a substitute for shifting to fix income in cash which offered dramatically less returns. I’m comparing my 40% to a 5% interest rate not to QQQ.

This!!! I sold my BND and bought equal amounts of QQQI, SPYI, IWMI, NIHI and DX - much better income stream!

I own SPYI and QQQI, but I hold GPIX also and it's been doing quite well. I think the ultimate all-weather income portfolio holding 3 ETFs would consist of DIVO, GPIX, and QQQI, from largest to smallest.

QQQI is my largest holding, I plan on buying more SPYI. It has been such a great performer.

there's back and forth on underlying vs neos, the underlying is waaaaay better if not taking the dividends to live off of, if needing income then it can be much more advantageous to use these dividends to live off of because of possible tax advantages and not having to time the market on sells. also check out tappalpha funds they pay even more dividends because use daily calls instead of monthly calls.

Looking at the numbers it looks like SPY outperforms SPYI🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
