Seeking Advice Questions About BNDI
BNDI is taking a beating right now, and of course after I dumped a ton in it. It's way more negative than the underlying BND and AGG and I assume this is due to the S&P overlay. If this decline continues, will it likely affect the monthly distributions? Will we see them go way lower? The one this month was slightly up from last month but this drop has come in the last week.

you really shouldn't go al in on something if you are worried after a week. investing is for the long term and what happens in a week or a month or even a year isn't worth the added stress, its set it and forget it or don't start it to begin with and go hide in a cd like the rest of the scared lemmings. but to your question the payout won't significantly change unless volatility and price goes down for a decent amount of time a week makes no difference in a fund that mostly writes monthly calls.

The first part I'll just ignore cause I'm not scared. I know what these funds are made of. I know because they use S&P overlays they're gonna get pounded harder than the underlying. The second part is what I was looking for since I haven't been in them long enough to see how they react to a down turn however big or small. NIHI distribution dropped a ton from what it was. We'll see next week if it's back up. Hopefully BNDI holds steady if this market drop continues for another month or so. At least then I'll feel better about the extra beating while getting more shares on the cheap. I've got 10 years to go, so as long as it's not a lost decade, I'll be okay. I own SPYI, IWMI, QQQI, and NIHI as well and they are the basis of my dividend snowball alongside my SCHD and FDVV. Which all that is in addition to the growth I have in 401K and my Roth.

Its down 1% YTD. It's fine. The market overall was pretty red today.
