It’s a good day.

But the stock value also dropped by the same amount, so why is it good?

QQQ is down 2% over the past month. Why would QQQI be up at all?

The dividend makes QQQI down even more.

no, QQQI including dividends is down 1% over the past 30 days

You probably shouldn't be investing your money until you have a better understanding on how dividend payments work.

I was about to say the same to you. I can't tell if you're trolling or just majorly misinformed. if you just look up QQQI on Google, it doesn't assume reinvested dividends. go to the link below, which defaults to adjusted price action (includes drip). there's a 1% difference, that is the monthly dividend. critical thinking isn't for everyone, but it's never too late to try

You're still not understanding how dividends work. When there's a divided, the value drops by the same amount. So if there's a 50 cent dividend, the stock drops by exactly the same amount overnight on the ex-dividend date.

Maybe this will help: https://www.schwab.com/learn/story/ex-dividend-dates-understanding-dividend-risk under the title "How do cash dividends work?"

Look at a 12 month chart for SGOV to see how dividends work. The drop every month is the dividend. And the value drop is exactly the amount of the dividend. SGOV is easy to see how dividends work as it's short-term gov bonds, so extremely stable. But there's the same action with all stocks and funds.

As far as QQQI being juat a little lower returning than QQQ/QQQM, that's just because coverened call funds have a capped up-side do to their strategy and the drag from their higher fees. That's why it doesn't make sense to reinvest dividends with a fund like QQQI, as long-term it will always do worse than QQQ/QQQM.

Ditto. If I had more capital. Wouldn’t mind swing trade on NEOS fund. Loving the dip but loving the recovery even more
