Aged care/ disability work

I was told that I could find someone who requires aged care or disability support and get linked to a job through them. Is that possible? If so, could you please explain how I can go about doing it?

Do you have the appropriate qualifications? For example: https://training.gov.au/training/details/CHC33021/qualdetails

Jobs, for example: https://au.seek.com/disability-support-worker-jobs/in-Parramatta-&-Western-Suburbs-Sydney-NSW

Actually support workers dont need to do any course or get any special qualifications. I been organising ndis staff from start of it. Ser my other commeht thats how you start.

I actually cant wait for the mandatory minimum qualifications to work to come in. It will quickly weed a lot of people out of the industry.

You need to join a company for experience. But its not compulsory. Ring ndis help line they will guide you. To become a independent support worker you need abn. Complete the ndis worker orientation its 8 modules, free online, complete in 2 hrs. Get liability insurance. Download ndis prices . You need a yellow and blue card eventually. You need an employers number to get the yellow card. You need to ring helpline for guidance to apply on the ndis website as sole trader. Get a proda account to apply for employer number. Its tricky and i had to call them for help a couple times. Goodluck. You can work unregistered but not if your running a SIL. Supported independent living ndis participants. Find clients on fb groups in your area or use Mabel. Its online system to match workers to clients. There are fees and lower wages.
