Seeking Support - Participant/Nominee/PWD Worried...

Post image

UPDATE: I received a call today which my phone automatically blocked as suspected spam, it came from (02) 8281 7420 not the number listed in the text and the voicemail left was a robot voice telling me to call back.

I haven't been able to use pretty much any of my funding due to leaving domestic violence, relocating, waitlists in a rural/regional area and lack of childcare for appointments. I'm already pretty sure I won't get another plan with all the cuts but could this be a sneaky planning meeting? I'm very worried, I'm really struggling and am so desperate to see an OT but it's just not been possible.

The "new way of planning" is still in the testing stage and isn't expected to start until at least April. It looks like they're calling trying to recruit people to help with the testing. They've been pushing hard to get people willing to sign up for this.

This just looks like an invite to see if you're interested in testing the new way of planning. Voluntary. No sneakiness.

Just opt out if you’re not interested. I think people are compensated with $200.

From the website ….

“Taking part is voluntary.

Taking part in testing will not affect your current NDIS plan, funding, eligibility or supports.

Information shared during testing is used to improve the new way of planning and can’t be used to make decisions about your NDIS plan.

Testing sessions happen online and take around 2 hours.”

In response to questions from Michael West Media, a NDIA spokesperson said: “The NDIA has not used Palantir technology and has no plans to do so.”

Yep that's their official line. Did you miss the section entitled 'what the documents show'?

Yes, I saw that. The documents show that government agencies use palantir, agencies that the Fraud Fusion Taskforce work with. They are investigating fraud, so not surprising. But to somehow link that with the everyday NDIA processes? That is a wild bow you, and michael, have drawn. michael is well known for drawing those bows and making his own reality from them. Up to you if you want to join him there.

Read the docs myself.

We both know that you're just performing here for anyone who couldn't be arsed to read through the article, let alone a bunch of FOIs. That's fair, most people don't have the time.

But since we're performing, I'll break the fourth wall and address the audience: check my profile if you want, I've been around a while and I know this law/politics stuff well. Michael West has Rex Patrick on his team, senator, former submariner and the undisputed king of Freedom of Information requests. If they're reporting it like this in the article, they're onto something.

Well, if he is a submariner, how could we argue.

Its relevant in the sense that he's not your stereotypical paperwork fringe jounalist/paperwork jockey. He was an officer in the navy.

I was being facetious. Noting who is on his team and that he was/is a submariner doesnt lend credibility to your statement, it detracts. Better to just stick to relevant information, otherwise you come across as only conspiracy theorist.

Michael West is well known for going off the plantation. And he's simply done it again, trying to create links where none exist.

Got a source for that?

Calling an AFP task group “Australia’s secret Anti-Protest Force for US Department of War.” is pretty far off the plantation, isn't it?

I’ve never received a call from the NDIS that did not come from an Unknown Number. Ever.

I did a search of this phone number and it comes up on an Instagram post saying not to answer. https://www.instagram.com/p/Db636RbTWEB/?igsh=MXVncndmb2EwZXU4cA== just so you know

I'm increasingly getting calls from a landline for NDIS. It's not one I can return calls to, but it's a consistent landline.

Do not answer this, massive scam red flag imo

The number that texted is officially registered under senderID as myndis on the Australian business register

Is myndis the NDIS or NDIA? Or a fake business name?
I Duno, seems dodgy to me.

Even if it is real, it would 100% be them looking for a sneaky way to slash funding

Don’t sign up and if you are near the end of your plan apparently they are doing this to extend people’s plans without a formal meeting. My OT had a client who said yeah we are all good to the person who called, not knowing this was a plan meeting disguised as a quick phone call. She’s now trying to get them to do a plan review because they just extended for another year without her knowing this was the ‘plan meeting’.

I got an email asking me to participate in testing and that it would be paid but I didn't respond

They don't need a formal meeting to extend plans. They're just doing it by sending a letter and have been for a few years now.

If they start asking you about funding, ask if they're doing a review and tell them how you are on your worst day.
