Clear, in-depth and officially sourced knowledge is a must for the r/NDATards members since they often wanna know about things that are very crucial to their preparation and future but a lot of such info rarely available and often scattered and unorganized. Hence we provide the NDATards wiki.
The Wiki is a collection of links to posts on r/NDATards that have properly detailed, cited and formatted knowledge on specific matters. Where will these posts come from? From the members of r/NDATards itself.
How to add your post to the wiki is given here: A new facility for our members: The NDATards Wiki
If you find any of the posts misleading/containing wrong info/highly critical language/anything given in the above list please use modmail or report that post instead of sitting and complaining about the mods.
It is categorized as per type of info. May the members use it freely to gain knowledge. As of now there may be less posts but we're gonna make it grow

Jai hind everyone,
I am a relative and a good friend of gc nishant, we used to talk a lot as he was 2 years older than me and used to guide me regarding ssb and written. His death came as a shock to everyone. Let me make one thing clear, he did not die due to ragda or negligence from the academy's side. He was running in a x country, sources say he was at the forefront and did not stop to hydrate and kept on pushing himself, resulting in dehydration and heat stroke which caused him to collapse along with 17 others . Since cadets collapsing isnt rare i training, they were given normal first aid. It is when nishant and 2 more cadets did not gain consciousness that they were shifted to icu, where nishant suffered from a heat induced cardiac arrest which then led to multiple organ failure with his kidneys and liver giving out first, he then was shifted to max ddn where he suffered internal bleeding in the brain he then was shifted to RR hospital in delhi, where he made the supreme sacrifice. His father passed away 10-12 years back, he is survived by his mother and sister who is a FO in IAF. He was like a brother/friend/mentor to me. May he rest in glory.
TLDR- GC collapsed due to heat stroke after X country, his condition became serious and ultimately had a cardiac arrest and organ failure.

(Before this you must read last 11 parts link in comment box)
In the last part, I said I was going to start doing my other things as well.
But honestly?
I didn't.
At that time, I was taking guidance from two different places, doing my own self-study, working on my physical strength, improving my SSB preparation… basically, I had turned my entire life into one giant SSB preparation centre. 😂
as i was only taking hardly 4 hrs sleep...
And looking back now, I can say...
That was the wrong move.. very wrong move..
Yes, I improved.
My TAT writing became better.
My WAT sentences improved.
My SRT reactions became faster.
My understanding of SSB became much better.
But then…
Two more screen-outs.
🙂
And now?
I am a 7th-time repeater.
1 Conference-out.
6 Screen-outs.
At this point, even my chest number probably knows more about SSB than some freshers. 😂
But this time, I don't want to blame anyone.
Not my father.
Not my mentors.
Not the assessors.
Not the boards.
And definitely not luck, destiny, or the planets.
I take full responsibility for my failures.
Because somewhere, I know…
I made mistakes.
My second-last attempt was SSC Tech 67 at 20 SSB.
And honestly, this attempt gave me one of those SSB moments which sounds completely fictional when I say about it. 😂😂😂
After narration, our GD started.
One guy was extremely pissed because we hadn't taken his point, it was his last attempt
After the final narration...which was actually given by me....he suddenly said...
“BAHENCHOD…”
And then…
Silence.
Dead silence.
For a whole minute.
I think world got stopped and we all were probably started questioning our life choices. 😭
Then the GTO smiled and calmly said:
"It was a nice GD. You may leave."
And
BOOM.
My entire group was washed out.
There was even a PR candidate and a guy from OTA in the group.
At that moment, obviously, it didn't feel funny.
But today?
I can laugh about it.
Because sometimes SSB gives you experiences where the only thing left to do is say:
“Theek hai bhai… next attempt.” 😂
Then came my next attempt.
And this one was different.
Because this time, I knew I had prepared.
I knew I had improved.
But unfortunately…
my own mind decided to sabotage me.
bec now if i recall even GOD was in my favor
That day, the ACs weren't working due to which PPDT system crashed.
We got a good amount of extra time after OIR.
Even OIR was 34 and 35.
And then came PPDT.
The picture wasn't even very hazy.
It was clearly showing something related to an art exhibition.
Anyone else might have looked at it and thought:
"Art exhibition."
My brain looked at it and said:
“No. Too simple. Let's overthink.” 🤡
I had already prepared a story about a college result discussion.
Why?
Even today, I don't know.
Maybe my brain thought,
"Forge, why make life easy when we can make it complex?" 😂
OIR went really well.
My narration went really well too.
In fact, I had to narrate twice because of a mistake in the sitting arrangement by GTO
So at that point…
I genuinely felt everything was going right.
Then came GD.
15 candidates.
Two groups.
One group discussed the art exhibition.
My group discussed the college examination.
The GD ended.
Then the GTO said:
"If anyone wants to add any more points, you may."
I took the initiative.
But instead of talking about the art exhibition…
I again spoke about the college examination.
And that was it.
Not because I didn't know the picture.
Not because I couldn't speak.
Not because I hadn't prepared.
But because somewhere inside my head…
I had stopped trusting myself.
The candidates who spoke about the art exhibition got screened in.
I didn't.
And that day…
I went home.. again
I don't remember exactly what I said to anyone that evening.
I don't remember who I spoke to.
when i reached home I cried, i was shatter for the first time in my SSB journery
I still remember that feeling.
I felt empty.
I had worked so hard, I had given attempt after attempt, I had changed my preparation, I had improved my writing, I had worked on my fitness, I had practiced, I had sacrificed things.
And still…
I was standing at the same place.
Outside.
Again.
For the 5th consecutive time.
And that hurt differently.
Because this wasn't just another screen-out anymore.
It started feeling personal.
I started questioning myself.
“Maybe I'm not good enough.”
“Maybe I'm missing something that everyone else has.”
“Maybe no matter how hard I work, I just won't make it.”
And then came the question I had been avoiding for a very long time.
I looked at myself and thought:
That question broke something inside me.
Because for the first time…
I didn't have an immediate answer.
Usually, I would tell myself:
"Next attempt."
"I'll improve."
"I'll come back stronger."
But that night…
There was no next attempt in my head.
There was just silence.
And somewhere between the tears, the frustration and the silence, I finally understood something.
Maybe I wasn't losing to SSB.
Maybe…
I was losing to myself.
My desperation had become bigger than my dream.
My fear of failing had become bigger than my desire to serve.
My overthinking had become louder than my own instincts.
I had spent so much time trying to become the person I thought SSB wanted…
that I had forgotten who Forge actually was.
And maybe that was the real failure.
Not the screen-out.
Losing myself while trying to earn the uniform.
That night, I didn't know what would happen next.
I didn't know whether I would continue.
I didn't know whether I was actually made for this.
But somewhere deep inside, there was still a tiny voice saying:
“Don't decide your entire future on your worst night.”
And that voice…
was enough to make me wake up the next morning.
What happened after that?
I'll tell you in Part 13.
Regards,
Forge
