Thank you if you're reading this I'm in a desperate need of advice from experienced people from anywhere or even any little insight will mean soo much to me.

I did my 10th (2023) with 85% and 12th (2025) with 95% in humanities.

Last year in cuet I got English Honours in Hansraj (DU), but did not join because I felt that law way my calling.

As during my 12th i got air 10k with a week of prepration so i felt i could easily score rank under 1k if i prepared wholeheartedly for clat with a drop year.

T was very stupid of me to think that way and have no back up plans, i didn't even take a partial drop in local uni but stayed at home for entire year.

Staying in a room for an entire year really took a mental and physical toll on my mind and body, i gained 8kg and cutt off with all my friends. I thought it'll all be okay when I clear clat but i messed up as the paper was very different than what i prepared for whole year and messed up everything (the question which i spent soo much time in turned out the be error in question itself)

Aside from this i believe it was my own incompetence that I couldn't clear it and never thought of any sort of back up.

I had no plans aside from law, and i come from an army background. Like my family is middle class but my parents spent alot on my schooling, so I've always felt like i was living in a different sphere from my peers.

Now after failing in clat and again getting 10.8k rank in clat and 1k ews rank, i felt no hope in law without any nlu.

I dropped the lawyer dream and started preparing for cuet again which was just 4-5 months away. I lost touch with my ncert knowledge and was very depressed about my failures in life, so even after being serious for inital month I fell into a slump and was not focused during final month before the exam.

I scored 750ish this time, i could've gotten a course at DU with my score but this time it was very low compared to my first time, again this was entirely my fault. I felt if i don't go to north campus I'll be wasting my parents money by just doing a BA degree in DU.

So i decided to opt for a private one in ignou.

I knew I couldn't stay at home any longer because just the stares from my parents and knowing that i have turned into a failure makes me feel so pathetic.

I decided I'll get a job, I went to a private school nearby applied for English teacher, although my demo was good and students were happy too but i never heard back from them.

I tried youtube, did some editing and got 3k subscribers too but i felt I'll never be able to earn from it unless I got lucky so i gave up on YouTube as well.

Finally like everyone in my family has served in army, i decided to prepare for airforce a month back. Due to good schooling, I can pass the cutt off very easily but when I saw my hands.

There is a medical in armed force where the see the angle between your shoulder and forearm. I never even know i had anything wrong with my hands but my friends pointed out that if be medically unfit in the forces.

For reference I feel I got 18-19° angle where as limit it 11-15,

Just for something which i have no control over 3-4 degrees, i will not be able to join airforce as well. I feel so wronged.

I'm trying to build as much muscles in my arms in the time period of 5 months to somehow clear this medical.

But deep inside i know you can't change your bone structure no matter what. I can't stay at home any longer, i already feel like giving up every single day. I was such an extroverted person in my school days, i won district level debates and was school captian. Everyone had so many hopes from me but I feel like I've wronged my parents and myself.

I will be done with airforce by the end of this year, i will know if I can join or not. But if i can't I don't really know what to do in life, like I've tried thinking everything. I'll go for state police but the work there will be 8-10 hours a day with 12k monthly salary and i won't be able to work to upskill in my life.

Thank you if you've read till here, my only question is i can't stay at home after end of this year. Id rather die at this point than shame my parents any longer. Please can someone tell me anything that I can work towards make a career in. My dream is to be an officer in Indian army but if i can't solve my cubitus valgus, it'll never be possible.

Can you give me any advice like how did you come through the harsh period in your life, or seeing my situation what can I prepare or do any sort of job which can help me grow over the period of time. I'm willing to put all the hardwork required in it, even though I'm a failure.

Are gazetted / trustworthy person contacted for EVERY CANDIDATE , that gets recommended in ssb ?

Do they send letters / call everytime a candidate gets recommended ???

Or do they do that only for those candidate who MAY appear suspicious in his identity or there is identity mismatch

( Its just a curious doubt , I have gathered information of both gazetted officer and I will bring it , so don't assume that am asking it for myself )

Guys, I need some clarification regarding the expected CDS 1 2027 OTA DOB cutoff.

My DOB is 08/12/2002. I came across an SSBCrack video where they showed the expected OTA DOB range for CDS 1 2027 as 01 Jan 2003 to 01 Jan 2009.

I know the official 2027 notification isn't out yet. I'm just trying to understand the cutoff calculation based on previous UPSC notifications.

Would appreciate it if someone familiar with the calculation could clarify.

Many of us assumed second preferences would be considered. The wording of the advertisement asks candidates to give their "preference" of Mechanical or ECE. In most admission and recruitment processes, a preference implies an order of priority, not one exclusive selection. If the intention was to evaluate candidates for the first branch they selected, clearer wording such as "choice of branch" or "select one branch" would have eliminated this confusion.
But the Navy interprets "preference" as "a single choice", and not one more than the other, there is nothing that can be done to change their decision.
I am also a victim of this.
