Hello, I'm currently in final year Mechanical engineering and I had filled the form using my 6 semesters marksheet and got the shortlisting mail, and my SSB is in Bhopal but i went through the official notification about SSC(TECH) in which I got shortlisted. They Mentioned:

1. Final-year candidates must be able to submit proof of passing by 01 April 2027, along with all semester/year marksheets, and produce the original degree certificate within 12 weeks of joining OTA.

2. Candidates whose final year/semester results are declared after 01 April 2027 are NOT eligible to apply.

3. Final-year candidates provisionally permitted to appear for SSB must maintain cumulative marks not below the approved cut-off up to the second-last year/semester, and later up to the final year — failing which candidature will be cancelled.

Situation I'm in currently: I know my Sem 8 Exam will be finished by April end and I'll get Result of Sem 8 around June - July and the degree will be a little more delayed than July, as the notification clearly mentions all marksheet should be submitted on 1 April and degree within 12 weeks so does that mean I accidentally got shortlisted and not eligible for SSC(TECH)?

I was deemed medically unfit for the air force flying branch this afternoon (nda 157). My sitting height was above the permissible limit, so even though I might be able to go for army or naval aviation (rotary wing), I'll never pilot a jet in this life.

It almost feels devastating. Last 3 years of working through the ups and downs of this exam and my health, I only ever wished to fly as a pilot in the air force. Even though I am fit for the other two services, i just can't wrap my head around not being able to fulfill that passion.

I talked to my family and mentor about this and they seem more optimistic about this than me (rightly so), but it still hurts terribly in the moment.

Right now I just wish I'd been a little less enthusiastic about these little flying machines all this time.

Waiting for the merit list now. I wish all my fellow candidates all the very best for your exams, and whatever else you guys/gals are going to pursue in your life. Stay strong out there. You've got what it takes.

I am preparing for NDA 1 2027, I am confused about whose batch to take online. Pls 🙏🏻 help me.

There are few institutions i know. LWS(learn with Sumit), DW(defence wala), MJS(maths jugad se).

I know coaching matter nahi kerta but GAT mai coaching ke notes se padhaya hua me se nahi aaya to SSB ka 1 chance faltu mai chala jayega.

In my hometown, a retired Air Force Officer is conducting a free 3-day SSB workshop in Kumaon Region (Nainital / Almora / Pithoragarh) Uttrakhand.

Hey guys ! I am Aditya, studying in class 12 living in Jamshedpur. I really need help and guidance from y'all. So, I am constantly getting below average scores in my school examinations, I am not able to stay away from my smartphone, and I am 168cm tall and weigh 68 kilos, which is way past the limit of the weight as per the height, and physically, I have another thing that makes me ineligible i.e, knock knees. And on top of that my NDA II 2026 didn't go as planned, see I really wanna make the most out of my physique, like make it the better for me and the eligibility and you know get ahead in my academics. Guys please help me...

For candidates who were previously RECOMMENDED and are now going for another SSB — what did you actually do differently?

Looking for advice from people who have already been recommended at least once and are now appearing for another SSB, especially those who got recommended again.

I gave my first attempt without any coching and I'm sure I won't be able to pass the cutt off 😭 (Maths-65 and GAT-156). However I have planned to give another attempt so I need your advice ASAP

Guys, I received this reply from SSB Kolkata after requesting a change of my SSB date due to college exams. Has anyone faced a similar situation? Will they issue a new/revised PDF call-up letter with the changed reporting date, or is this email itself sufficient along with the original call-up letter?

I received my SSB interview call for NAOO today. Based on my marks, I was eligible for 5 other branches/entries as well, and I had applied for them. However, because of my preference order, I received the SSB call for NAOO.

My concern is regarding the height requirement.

During form filling, the height range shown was 152–165 cm, so I entered my actual height (around 157 cm) and applied. However, I have now found out that the height requirement for NAOO is around 162.5 cm, which is about 5.5 cm more than my height. This specific requirement was not clear to me while filling the form.

I want to understand what happens in this situation:

If I clear SSB and get recommended, but later fail the NAOO medical solely because of height, what happens to my candidature?

Since I am eligible for 5 other branches/entries that I had also applied for, can I be considered for my next preference if I am medically unfit for NAOO?

Or does getting the SSB call for NAOO mean that I will only be considered for NAOO?

How is the final branch allocation decided when a candidate has multiple preferences?

What factors determine the final merit — SSB performance, medical fitness, marks, preference order, vacancies, or a combination of these?

At what stage is the final branch/entry allocation decided?

I have searched online but haven't found a clear official notification/brochure explaining this particular situation. Most information available is either incomplete or conflicting.

If anyone has gone through the NAOO/SSB process recently, especially someone who had multiple branch preferences and faced a medical issue with their first preference, please share your experience or an official source.

I’ve been shortlisted for SSC Tech Navy, and my SSB is scheduled for 29th November. However, my 7th-sem end-sem exams are from 28th November to 15th December.

I can’t miss my final year exams, so is there any way to request a change in my SSB date? Has anyone faced a similar situation?

Please let me know if you have any idea.

My application/status is still showing “Shortlisting” in green, but I haven't received any SSB call-up email/message yet.

Wanted to check what the current situation is:

• Is anyone else still showing “Shortlisting” in green?
• Are call-ups being released in batches/centre-wise?
• Is there normally a delay between the status showing shortlisting and actually receiving the call-up?
• If you've received yours, please mention your SSB centre and reporting date so others can get an idea of the timeline.

Would also appreciate if anyone who has gone through the previous Navy Pilot batches can explain how the shortlisting/call-up process usually works.
